About the job
- We are looking for a Team Leader to lead the Cash Investigations Team within the Operations Department working in BNP Paribas (Lisbon) SA
- Cash Investigations will be performed for two banks of the Group, namely BNP Paribas (Suisse) SA and BNP Paribas (Germany Branch). The role of the person is to manage, monitor and control that all cash transactions requiring further action (Request for information, compliance issue) are handled satisfactory, that all pending cash items are duly analysed and solved, without any delay
Your Main Activities Are
- The person will have the responsibility for the activity and manage her/his team. Leadership, expertise, rigor as well as cooperation and respect are important traits within the team. The person will need good communication skills, as the team will work directly with people from other Operational Services and Departments, with the WM Business and Compliance/AML teams to resolve breaks
- Manage the Cash Investigations Team
- Organise and distribute workload
- Ensure risks are managed and escalate to issues to the hierarchy
- Manage team members and ensure team continuity (staffing, evaluations, hiring, stability, commitment, among others)
- Perform monthly controls and communicate with local hierarchy and Swiss/German management
- Manage the cash investigations activity, and guarantee that all the tasks allocated are duly performed and executed
- proceed with the analysis of requests and consequent cash transactions, processing of RFI (Request for information)
- open the consecutive files in dedicated applications, with tight follow-up until completion
- monitor the pending cash amounts allocated to cash transfer team and give assistance for resolution
- monitor the cash transactions requiring compliance analysis until completion
- proceed with daily controls and required validations
- manage the operational flows, dashboards, computer systems, email boxes
Profile and Skills to Success
- Financial academic background
- At least 4 years of Experience in Cash Investigations
- At least 2 years of Management responsibility
- Knowledge in Banking and Cash Activity
- Knowledge in Banking & Financial Services
- Experience with MT Swift messages related to cash activity
- Compliance knowledge linked to cash activity
- Proficiency in Banking Applications
- Proficiency in Swift tools
- Fluent in English
- Ability to develop and adapt a process
