YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE HR BUSINESS PARTNER TEAM

As a HR Business Partner Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in guaranteeing actions involving HRBP activities in a context of strong development in our 2 centers located in Lisbon and Oporto.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Maintains and enhances Human Resources Business Partner´s team supervision planning, implementation, policies, programs, and practices.
  • Employee relations management and Leverage the HR Partnership with MM and Top Management.
  • Advise and support MM in all employee relationship topics from A to Z, ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and Legal Framework.
  • Develop and monitor HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.

  • 10 years of experience in HR with at least 4 years as Senior HRBP in fast paced context;
  • HR Team management experience ideally in a similar business context (SSC);
  • Advanced degree, ideally a Master in Human Resources Management or similar;
  • Strong Portuguese Labor law and market practice knowledge;
  • Very good written and oral communication skills;
  • Strong relationship skills;
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate stakeholders in a cross functional environment;
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and directly with different stakeholders, such as Client, Manager, Employees & Comex;
  • Ability to influence and leverage organizational networks;
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese, French proficiency is a plus.

About the job

  • The Transaction Banking business concerns two fundamental business lines:
    • Cash Management: all products that assist our customers with their liquidity needs (current accounts, term deposits, payments & collections, forex)
    • Global Trade Solutions: all products that assist our customers with their global trade needs (letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain management, factoring)
  • As Transaction Banking Chief Operating Officer (TB COO) team, we assist our different business team in multiple topics, both on daily/monthly needs as in project mode. Within the COO team we have a small team of data scientists focusing on data, who are involved in the data use cases from exploration phase up to production delivery.
  • This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the overall banking industry as a whole, more specifically dealing with the Transaction Banking business across all regions (EMEA, APAC, AMER)
  • The Data Analyst Trainee’s main mission is to provide support to the Cash Management fee analysis Unit and to contribute to the pricing to billing initiatives

About the team

  • The Lisbon EQD Institutional Sales Assistant is part of a global sales workforce in charge of selling Equity Derivatives Products with a focus on Flow products to Institutional clients. Their missions are diverse from assisting and supporting onshore sales and MAST in their day-to-day activity, to focusing on automation and transformation projects
  • The team in Lisbon is organised by sales group coverage, for instance UK Institutions or Hedge Funds, whose members they deal with on a daily basis

Your Main Activities Are

  • Interacting with Sales and sometimes Clients to finalise their on-boarding
  • Preparing in coordination with the Sales marketing documents, pitches and emails
  • Performing pre-trade checks to greenlight trading a specific product with a specific counterparty, such as Compliance and Credit
  • Finalising booking of Traded deals in the Sales upstream system
  • Interacting with all of the internal stakeholders regarding any traded deal, such as MO, BO, Legal, Compliance and Fee

About the job

  • Within Operational Permanent Control (OPC), the RCSA team (Risk Control Self-Assessment) team is responsible for implementing, coordinating and reporting to GM’s top management the Operational and Conduct Risk profile. The role is responsible for delivering the end-to-end RCSA process by determining intrinsic, control quality and residual risk levels for each risk using BNPP Group methodologies, enhancing the GM OPC data model and tools, and quantitatively testing the effectiveness of controls against non-financial risks; it also organizes, documents and follows up on stakeholder reviews and remediation of material weaknesses. In parallel, the incumbent continuously strengthens the permanent control framework across GM activities by monitoring market and regulatory developments, analyzing conduct risk incidents, designing and coordinating risk reduction actions with Front Office, Operations, Compliance and other partners, and tracking the implementation of internal and external recommendations from acceptance through closure while anticipating emerging regulatory, conduct, fraud and operational threats. Your Main Activities Are

  • Performance of the RCSA: contribute to the determination of the level of intrinsic risk, quality of control framework and residual risk pertaining to each risk of the exercise in application of BNPP Group methodologies and tools; enhance the data model & tools deployed by GM OPC to support the RCSA lifecycle; challenge notably through quantitative and qualitative analysis the effectiveness of GM control set up against non-financial risks; organize, support, document the reviews with stakeholders into RCSA documentation and tools; follow up remediation against material weaknesses identified over the RCSA
  • Contribution to the definition and enhancement of the permanent control framework across GM activities: monitor market practices and regulatory guidance to ensure framework remains at par with peers; strengthening FO to End control set up through the declaration & analysis of conduct risk related incidents; contribute to the Back to Blue Control Framework initiative to design, monitor and/or coordinate of risk reduction actions & the implementation with stakeholders (FO, Ops, Compliance, etc.); follow-up of the implementation of both internal and external recommendations, from acceptance to closure; anticipate potential future areas of regulatory, conduct and operational risks; bridge between RCSA and Operational Risk awareness by connecting the RCSA process with the organization’s operational risk learning initiative, facilitate workshops and embed RCSA insights into the trainings so that risk awareness is consistently reinforced across the business

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master’s degree in finance, Risk Management, Data Science, Management, Engineering, Mathematics or a comparable discipline.
  • Prior experience working across Lines of Defense 1, 2 ,3 in a financial services environment (investment banking, operational risk or project management background is a strong advantage).
  • Demonstrated understanding of capital markets key risks, processes and control frameworks (preferred)
