  • Within Finance & Strategy function, Oversight, Layer Expertise, Dedicated (OLED) solution: Lead the end-to-end implementation of business and regulatory projects to meet Business Line and Finance requirements; Contribute to transformation initiatives according to the Finance global strategy; Implement and maintain a harmonized Finance operating model across BNPP Group; Contribute to migration projects relying on the regional set up in Europe, Asia and Americas; Collaborate with Finance Implementation Projects (FIP) community worldwide, ensuring a consistent approach regarding Finance projects across all geographies
  • OLED teams deliver high quality projects for the entire BNPP Group, impacting on multiple business lines activity, from Retail to Corporate and Investment Banking, among others
  • Main purposes are to set up accounting layers to integrate accounting from General Ledger belonging to BNP Paribas into one single General ledger named Operational Finance System (OFS)
  • The project manager joining OLED Portugal will follow a complete integration program combining periods of effective training and project activity
  • The aim of OLED Integration Program is to support the collaborators during their first period when joining our team, constantly developing the knowledge about the Group and our activity, preparing them for their current challenge but also aligned with a career path within Finance & Strategy

Your Main Activities Are

  • Participate in the validation of non-regression across all current active entities, and will ensure that the accounting mapping complies with the OFS standard to meet the various requirements of different reporting (Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Credit Risk, Liquidity, etc.)
  • Ensure continued improvement in the development of respective finance solutions across regions and align them with group standards
  • Understand the project and program objectives and ensure that all user requirements are properly captured
  • Conduct a feasibility study, assessing the potential impact and defining the target solution
  • Explain the user requirements to Information Technology Transversal & Functions (ITT&F))/Finance Implementation Projects (FIP) and other teams for implementation
  • Define the appropriate testing strategy according to the nature of the project
  • Design test cases and ensure that adequate testing is carried out
  • Validate the test results by performing a detailed review of the accounting entries and/or reports and provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) validation on behalf of the finance users
  • Lead and manage all stages of the project lifecycle, from project initiation to project closure
  • Develop the project scope documentation, project plans and project timelines
  • Continuously coordinate with IT services and other finance users
  • Conduct a risk analysis and proactively identify mitigation solutions
  • Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and budgets in a timely manner
  • Organize a smooth commissioning and provide post-commissioning support
  • Regularly present the progress of projects to senior management
  • Build and maintain a trust relationship with all project stakeholders across different functions (Project Management Officers (PMO), IT, finance users, operational teams)
  • Provide support in case of production incidents, including identifying the root cause and proposing solutions to resolve the issue in a timely manner
  • Be a centre of excellence and expertise for parameterization topics surrounding the general ledger configuration for dedicated solutions

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Business School or Engineering Master’s degree completed
  • At least 6 years of relevant professional experience within banking sector, audit. Accounting, consulting or management control
  • Knowledge in IFRS and Regulatory principles and norms
  • Knowledge of financial Information Systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Pack (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Proficient knowledge of Data Analysis tools
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
  • Capable of managing a project

This Team based in Porto was created to extend the operation of our Client, ICARE, to the European market. ICARE is leader in the French market for warranty in the automobile field and aims to project this experience to the European market through our platform.

Today German and Italian are our main markets, but we have already started the operation in Spain, Portugal and Check Republic.

Our main activities are managing dealer warranty, extended warranty and maintenance contracts by handling authorization requests or contract management requests for multiple products depending on the country and partner, all from the same platform and location.

  • The Operational and Permanent Control (OPC) Analyst operates the Control framework relating to all operational risks, including Fraud, Third Party, Conduct, Compliance, Regulatory, Information and Communication Technology risks, and others risks types. OPC is responsible for the deployment of internal policies and procedures issued by specialise independent control functions part of Risk teams (Second Line of Defence), and for the compliance with external regulatory and supervisory requirements

Your Main Activities Are

  • Identify and assess risks and controls (Risk and Control Self-Assessment) by ensuring that key operational units and processes, material risks and risk mitigants are identified
  • Perform/drive the risk identification and assessment in liaison with independent control Functions when needed, ensuring validation by the relevant management level and consistency with the defined risk tolerance. Contribute to the definition and follow-up of remediation plan if needed
  • Manage Procedures by ensuring that Group procedures requirements are implemented locally, complemented with local specificities (regulations, tools, organisations, among others). Ensure that the procedures designed by the businesses and functions are identified, updated, properly stored and communicated to the relevant stakeholders within the Operating Entity.   • Document findings, recommendations and permanent control actions: Upon notification/receipt of reports, organise the follow-up of the findings and recommendations, either issued internally (for example, Inspection Générale supervision) or externally (external auditors, supervisors) and ensure that they are closed within due date
  • Manage historical incidents by alerting the management and the independent control functions if needed on key incidents. Analyse incidents in a timely manner and define, jointly with the relevant stakeholders, the correctives measures be implemented to mitigate risks. Follow-up and /or initiate the implementation of remediation actions and the unfolding of long term incidents. Perform controls on the incident collection process, in particular the cross-check with other databases (accounting or other when existing) and the half-yearly attestation by the local management
  • Provide Management support and governance by active contribution (or organisation) to any committee on Operational risks and Permanent Control committees. Alert and escalate to the relevant level of management any operational risk incident and/or any recurring weakness. Perform periodic and ad-hoc reporting to the appropriate level of management as well as to independent control functions. Ensure an appropriate training on Operational risks and Permanent Control framework is provided to employees, notably newcomers.   • The Client Relationship Officer’s (RO) main mission is to manage the daily interactions with BNP Paribas’ Corporate Clients ensuring the delivery of a high quality service in an innovative, digital and industrial way
