About the Job
- The Developer will work on a project focused on the evolution of third-party data ecosystems which would aim to streamline the integration of new data and technologies such as data virtualisation, Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), etc., enhancing the accessibility and real-time availability of data across systems
- The Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining solutions that support the evolution of the third-party data ecosystem. Working closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders, the Developer translates functional and technical requirements into scalable, high-quality applications and integrations
- The role involves implementing solutions using technologies such as APIs, data virtualisation, and related integration frameworks to improve data accessibility, consistency, and real-time availability across systems
- The Developer will be responsible for contributing to the full software development lifecycle, including technical design, coding, unit testing, code reviews, defect resolution, and deployment activities
- Additionally, the Developer will collaborate in Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases by supporting defect analysis and resolution, ensuring solution quality, performance, security, and compliance with development best practices. Through continuous improvement and innovation, the Developer will contribute to the delivery of reliable and sustainable solutions that align with business objectives and support the project’s strategic goals
- The Developer mission is to contribute to the functional and application-related consistency of the IT solution and ensure the service continuity and continuous development. The Developer must perform activities within the framework of projects and/or application maintenance and development seeking continuous development and assuring compliance with Quality and Security guidelines and best practices
Your Main Activities Are
- Code and test software components and parts assigned to them for the technical domains under their responsibility in compliance with development and security norms and standards
- Help in the design, model and implementation of the product’s solution, as necessary, with the objective of optimise the quality of the code and its future maintainability
- Participate in the delivery of the product components in the different environments, in close collaboration with other teams whenever necessary
Profile and Skills to Success
- Academic degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in IT
- Mastery in Python development and related frameworks
- Experience in API design and development, including RESTful web service
- Mastery of good programming practices (Continuous Improvement/Continuous Development, micro service, unit testing, versioning, etc.)
- Experience with unit and integration testing using frameworks such as PyTest or Unittest, and test management tools (e.g., ALM/Octane)
- Advanced SQL skills, including database design and optimisation
- Experience with cloud environments (AWS, IBM, etc.) and containerisation using Docker
- Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments and with collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence and Git
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive attitude and continuous improvement mindset
- Strong collaboration skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
About the Team
- IT Transversal & Functions (ITTF) is a new IT framework encompassing the Projects & Systems of the Finance and RISK functions, with a strong focus on efficiency, proximity, agility, and time-to-market. ITTF is a new worldwide organisational model that will contribute to tackling the major challenges of the Group’s transformation, both today and tomorrow, building the best offering for the Finance and Risk community through a progressive rotation to new technologies and best practices. The ITTF organisation is the outcome of several convergences: between the Project & Systems teams of Group Finance, Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Finance, and RISK, and their related IT teams
- IT Transversal & Functions is part of the Information Technology Group (ITG) organisation with threefold sponsorship by ITG, Finance, and RISK
- One of the products of this project is “UMD” (UNIQUE ID, MATCHING & DATA COLLECTION) that has the objective and ambition to build and deploy a matching solution live having as a target matching as a service capability with unique identification to all third parties publishing through the Businesses and locations (facilitating cross-selling, making Group-level reports reliable) and new data collection application delivered
