Date: 29 March, 1pm-4pm

Venue: BNP Paribas Torre Ocidente (BNP Paribas Headquarters, Lisbon)

The event aims to communicate job offers available at BNP Paribas, focusing on people with disabilities who seek to integrate or reintegrate the labour market.

In order to cultivate an open and positive work environment, BNP Paribas is organizing “Ability Day”, a job fair that will showcase all the job offers available at the Bank with the aim of encouraging applications from people with different types of disabilities. This fair, scheduled for March 29 and running from 1 pm to 4 pm, will be attended by 12 Associations and 24 Universities, thus seeking to reach as many people as possible. Registrations are open here.

The event will be an opportunity for all participants to meet some of the teams that are hiring as well as talk with BNP Paribas’ recruitment team to clarify doubts and curiosities about what it is like to work at the Bank. The goal is to ensure that, after these moments of sharing and discussion, potential candidates can be fast-tracked to recruitment processes.

“Ability Day” is mainly aimed at people with disabilities, including visual impairment, hearing impairment, motor disability or autism spectrum disorders, as well as Associations and entities that promote the integration of these people in the labour market.

We held this event to communicate the existing job positions available at the Bank while showing that they are open to everyone. We believe that, in this way, we can fight against prejudice in a very concrete way showing that people with disabilities can, of course, be incorporated into the labour market” says Carla Jorge da Costa, Head of Recruitment and Talent Sourcing at BNP Paribas Portugal.

Diversity and Inclusion are fundamental vectors in BNP Paribas’ DNA

This initiative is part of a committed and responsible Diversity & Inclusion policy that has guided BNP Paribas’ operations for several years. In this context, the Bank promotes various initiatives, including being a signatory to the International Labor Organization’s (ILO) Global Business and Disability Network Charter. With this action, BNP Paribas promotes the employment of people with disabilities, takes measures to ensure job retention and encourages universal accessibility, having signed its 4th agreement in 2020 to renew its commitment to the professional integration of people with disabilities.

In its first edition this year, “Ability Day” aims to raise awareness that job openings are available to all potential candidates.

By holding this event, we want to communicate open positions we have available and, at the same time, demonstrate that we have the conditions to receive everyone who wishes to apply” says Sylvie Le Pottier, Head of Human Resources at BNP Paribas Portugal. “We have partnerships with different associations that allow us to work on an inclusive recruitment programme and we are very proud to have so many entities with us at this fair, like Associação Salvador, ASHBIP, Café Joyeux and many others. At the Bank, we work every day to ensure a genuine culture of diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates“, Sylvie concludes.

With 12 Associations confirmed, this fair organized by BNP Paribas aims to reach the largest number of people, Associations and even organizations. If you would like to participate, please click the link below:
