About the Job
- The Valuation Analyst trainee position in Lisbon focuses on dealing with daily valuations which are not only a crucial element for our clients (from NAV calculation for Asset Managers to decision-making for fast money) and for the bank’s risk management (via collateral), but are also the basis for prices on secondary trades
- Although the Valuation Analyst role isn’t about pricing clients’ requests for quote, it requires a type of ad-hoc decision-making that directly impacts BNPP’s PNL; at the same the role demands synthesis and optimization capabilities
Your Main Activities Are
- Provide clients with high-quality, accurate valuations
- Take ownership of the valuation chain including its impact on secondary trades
- Address requests pertaining to valuations, from client service, sales or collateral management;
- Conduct deep-dives into specific valuations to provide performance analysis
- Participate in the development and scalability of the platform to improve client satisfaction, by enhancing the quality, speed and accuracy of valuations
Profile and Skills to Success
- Master’s degree in Finance or similar
- Knowledge in Python
- Advanced English and Portuguese level
- Advanced knowledge in Excel
- Knowledge of products in remit
- Client focus;

About The Team
- SCOPE Trading (Secondary Client Offer & Post Trade), a global team within the GECD (Global Equities & Commodity Derivatives) department, provides alternatives and manages secondary trades on exotic products. The team delivers accurate daily valuations and performance explanations to clients on their trades, covering the entire range of flow and exotic products. SCOPE occupies a unique and strategic position dealing with the entire range of products BNP Paribas’ (BNPP) EQD department has to offer, with constant interactions with sales and traders
