About the job

Electronic Client Solutions (ECS) is a global team within the COO group, with teams based in London, Lisbon, Porto, New York and Singapore, ECS represents the backbone of BNP Paribas’s Electronic trading offering.

Its core function is to provide a single point of contact for Client queries for all our Electronic products and services. ECS supports Clients, Trading venues and external counterparties, is responsible for Client enablement, Client Support and vendor relationships across all our Ecommerce platforms. 

ECS supports BNP PARIBAS clients on Single dealer and Multi dealer platforms in conjunction with Sales and Trading. Its responsibilities fall into three main business/product lines organised respectively into three sub-teams:

  • FX Cash / Options / Algos / Commodities

ECS are a critical component of Electronic Business & Markets group, providing the highest level of service to our external and internal clients to position BNP Paribas as a leading provider of Electronic Markets solutions.

Your Main Activities Are

Transversal Role:

  • The role is transversal in nature. While the initial focus will be on Fixed Income (FI) activities, the incumbent must be prepared to expand their support to include Foreign Exchange (FX) operations as business requirements evolve. This flexibility ensures the team can respond swiftly to changing market demands and maintain a high level of service across both product lines.

 Client Enablement:

  • Responsible for managing and implementing all Client/User Enablement requests to BNP Paribas electronic trading platforms including our Single dealer Platform (Cortex Suites, Smart Derivatives), Multi Dealer platforms such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb, FXall, 360t and FIX API Connections.
  • Relationship with other departments – Sales, Trading and IT Support Teams to manage the configuration of Pricing and Client margin across various platforms.

 Business Support:

  • Resolve issues across all BNP Paribas electronic products and services, ensuring a quick and effective resolution.
  • Ensure clients are connected, being priced and able to trade at all times.
  • Monitor the status of all systems and electronic trade flows
  • Using data-mining analysis tools to identify issues
  • Provide business support to Trading & Sales
  • Working closely with IT, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, etc.

Pricing Configuration:

  • Manage all pricing and tier changes for Sales and Trading in the respective gateways.
  • Manage price controls and limits across all products, ensuring all changes are properly controlled and approved prior to implementation.

Business Optimisation:

  • Client Engagement Activities: monitor new client activity as well as dormant clients and users, follow up on credit and limit issues.
  • Conduct client feedback surveys to ensure ECS is meeting customer expectations, improving service levels and product development as needed.
  • Record all Client Engagement activities in our ecommerce CRM tool to ensure accurate and meaningful MIS around Client Engagement.
  • Constantly review manual process and suggest new operating models to improve efficiency

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Academic background in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or similar areas (preferential)

Work schedule:

We are seeking a motivated professional to provide dedicated support for our United‑States operations. The successful candidate will work from our Porto office, aligning their schedule with the U.S. business day to ensure that American customers, partners, and internal colleagues receive timely and effective assistance.

The role operates on Lisbon‑based hours (GMT + 0) that correspond with U.S. working hours. In practice, the two standard shift patterns are:

  •  Early shift: 12:30 pm – 9:30 pm
  •  Late shift:  2:30 pm – 11:30 pm

These windows guarantee coverage throughout the typical U.S. workday, facilitating seamless cross‑Atlantic collaboration.

While the early shift is available, the position may regularly require assignment to the late shift.

Additionally, occasional backup shifts are expected, particularly during New York holiday periods, to maintain uninterrupted service. Candidates must therefore demonstrate flexibility for backup coverage and be prepared to adapt their schedule as business needs dictate.

  • The CSDR (Central Securities Depositories Regulation) Officer is in charge of reconciled Penalties received from custodian in the context of CSDR regulation. The team need also to follow up buy-in reception as well as send proper Buy-in to failing counterparties

About the job

  • The Documentation Drafting and Matching Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the risk undertaken by the business lines. A wide range of products are traded by the Trading desk including Options, Swaps, Forwards, within Oil, Metals, Softs, Energy, Power and Gas and Equities. The Documentation team’s primary function is to support the Trading and Sales desks through the drafting of OTC Physical confirmations for mainly all trades dealt with counterparties
  • The team performs a critical control role in the timely reconciliation of bookings with the confirmation and term sheet. The team is also responsible for notifying all post trade events with clients. The team ensures that all issues are controlled, reported and fixed by working closely with traders, sales people, strategists, IT and Legal, Credit and Compliance. The team is involved in process improvements with special focus on STP processing and management of risk and controls, new product initiatives and development of new business in all regions

Your Main Activities Are

  • Draft legal confirmations based on ISDA definitions for all products including Swaps, Forwards, Options and Hybrid Strategies
  • Trade review of risk booking and term sheets to ensure that they are in line prior to sending the documentation to clients
  • Monitor workflows to ensure the confirmations are prioritised accordingly and ensure the timely dispatch of confirmations
  • Meet regulators timelines targets
  • Issue post trade events notifications to clients such as exercises, restructures and partial or total terminations
  • Direct point of escalation internally on documentation and template queries
  • Daily liaison with customers on discrepancies and assist in redrafting confirmations to meet their needs
  • Solve discrepancies on incoming confirmations and manage litigations or affirmations requests from clients
  • Ensure the correct working of the matching electronic platforms
  • Maintain effective working relationships with Front office Trading and Sales, Legal, Compliance, IT and other Operational areas in London, Paris, Montreal, Singapore and globally through daily interactions

The IT Cyber & Ops team is a strategic shield, that manage IT Governance to ensure technology alignment with business goals staying compliant with all BNP requirements.
