Electronic Client Solutions (ECS) is a global team within the COO group, with teams based in London, Lisbon, New York and Singapore, ECS represents the backbone of BNP Paribas’s Electronic trading offering.
Its core function is to provide a single point of contact for Client queries for all our Electronic products and services. ECS supports Clients, Trading venues and external counterparties, is responsible for Client enablement, Client Support and vendor relationships across all our Ecommerce platforms.
ECS supports BNP PARIBAS clients on Single dealer and Multi dealer platforms in conjunction with Sales and Trading. Its responsibilities fall into three main business/product lines organised respectively into three sub-teams:
- FX Cash / Options / Algos / Commodities
- Fixed Income – Rates / Credit / Structured Products / Derivatives
- Structured Products / Derivatives
ECS are a critical component of Electronic Business & Markets group, providing the highest level of service to our external and internal clients to position BNP Paribas as a leading provider of Electronic Markets solutions.
Your Main Activities Are
Transversal Role:
- The role is transversal in nature. While the initial focus will be on Fixed Income (FI) activities, the incumbent must be prepared to expand their support to include Foreign Exchange (FX) operations as business requirements evolve. This flexibility ensures the team can respond swiftly to changing market demands and maintain a high level of service across both product lines.
Client Enablement:
- Responsible for managing and implementing all Client/User Enablement requests to BNP Paribas electronic trading platforms including our Single dealer Platform (Cortex Suites, Smart Derivatives), Multi Dealer platforms such as Bloomberg, Tradeweb, FXall, 360t and FIX API Connections.
- Relationship with other departments – Sales, Trading and IT Support Teams to manage the configuration of Pricing and Client margin across various platforms.
Business Support:
- Resolve issues across all BNP Paribas electronic products and services, ensuring a quick and effective resolution.
- Ensure clients are connected, being priced and able to trade at all times.
- Monitor the status of all systems and electronic trade flows
- Using data-mining analysis tools to identify issues
- Provide business support to Trading & Sales
- Working closely with IT, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, etc.
Pricing Configuration:
- Manage all pricing and tier changes for Sales and Trading in the respective gateways.
- Manage price controls and limits across all products, ensuring all changes are properly controlled and approved prior to implementation.
Business Optimisation:
- Client Engagement Activities: monitor new client activity as well as dormant clients and users, follow up on credit and limit issues.
- Conduct client feedback surveys to ensure ECS is meeting customer expectations, improving service levels and product development as needed.
- Record all Client Engagement activities in our ecommerce CRM tool to ensure accurate and meaningful MIS around Client Engagement.
- Constantly review manual process and suggest new operating models to improve efficiency
Profile and Skills to Success
- Academic background in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or similar areas (preferential)
- An overall understanding and interest in the financial world
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
- Excellent communication skills and client focus

- The Documentation Matching Analyst is responsible for checking the integrity and accuracy of the booking and help managing the subsequent risks undertaken by the business lines
- The Matching teams’ primary function is to support the Trading and Sales desks through the matching of electronic and paper confirmations on a variety of products (vanilla, exotics, complex structures) and asset classes (Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Credit and Interest Rates Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, precious metals and other commodities)
- The Matching teams perform a critical control role in the timely reconciliation of bookings with clients’ confirmations. The teams are also responsible for verbal and /or written affirmation of trade details with clients before the value date or the maturity of the concerned transactions. The teams ensure that all incoming confirmations are controlled, issues identified, reported and fixed by working closely with traders, sales people, legal and other relevant departments in the bank
- They are also involved in process improvements with a special focus on straight through processing (STP) and management of risk and controls, new product initiatives, development of new business in different regions of the world
Your Main Activities Are
- Check FO booking to ensure all trades are captured in the systems and that the details are in line with documentations received from clients. Verify and match legal confirmations (electronic and/or physical) according to the ISDA (International Swaps and Derivatives Association) definitions, approved confirmation templates and other relevant industry recommendations and best practices
- Ensure a correct archival of all incoming confirmations and monitor workflows to ensure incoming confirmations are prioritised accordingly and ensure timely matching of confirmations. Identify and solve financial and/or legal discrepancies on incoming confirmations
- Resolve queries and exceptions where necessary, understanding the importance of effective escalation
- Timely resolve mark-ups on outstanding trade confirmations

Under factoring contracts Domestic, Import and/or Export for BNP Paribas Factor Portugal and BNP Paribas Factor Spain, the Debt Collector is responsible for the recovery of debts. He/She responds to the Team Leader of the Recovery Process International. The actions carried out must consider the subsidiary’s development priorities in terms of products and markets and be carried out in a spirit of transversally with the subsidiary’s other management. - Follow up buyers by telephone, email or other means to obtain payment of invoices;
- Qualify and analyse information obtained from buyers on reasons for non-payment;

- The Settlement Claims Officer mission is to ensure the integrity and the exhaustiveness of detection, payment and receipt of interest that are a result of late settlements under BNP Paribas Arbitrage and BNP Paribas SA. The scope of the products are: Forex and Money Market, Equities and Bonds as well as Equity Derivatives

About the job
- The KYC Controller’s primary focus is to act as the first level of control in reviewing, advising and validating on KYC (Know Your Client) due diligence assessment of prospective and existing clients. The KYC Controller is also accountable for ensuring all relevant stakeholders sign-offs
- Perform data control and KYC file review: Validates correct data entry into the KYC tools based on the due diligence conducted and controls documentation format and content, to ensure adherence to due diligence guidelines
- Refers to relevant team members and/or managers to highlight data inconsistency and suggest methods of resolution. In addition, identifies root causes impacting the quality and the trainings needs
- Ensures high standard of quality in the KYC files in adherence to the bank’s policies and procedures. Additionally, acts as a subject matter expert to support KYC Due Diligence team. Implements new policies, procedures and communications from Compliance and Global Coordination and Support
- Ensures timely escalation and owns proposed course of actions to line management to address identified risks and blocking points during such processes
- Overviews the full client KYC file analysis, to ensure completeness and consistency before validation steps, substantiating the KYC review with a factual based-analysis
- Ensures all processes executed during the final overview of the KYC files are delivered per predefined guidelines
- Contribute to KPIs regarding quality (quality review including review of Compliance review results) and produce reports on the controls results performed and areas of improvement identified
- Monitors decision and follow-up: Arranges, prepares and documents Client Acceptance Committee (CAC) towards the final approval for the KYC file. Also, coordinates CAC meeting
