Become our new P&L Specialist (Management Control) based in Porto

Be part of our dynamic Management Control (Management Accounting Nanterre) team! 

Within the France Results Steering Team, and throughout the various phases (Budget / Medium-Term Plan, Updates / pre-closing, Closing) of the BNP Paribas Cardif French entities, you will prepare and monitor the constitution of the result for these entities under management view according to the French GAAP, as well as for the different Business Units of these entities.

You will join a dynamic Finance department undergoing transformation, combining high technical requirements with a collective and supportive spirit, enabling everyone to thrive and develop strong skills. The France Results Steering team is a key part of our organization.  

YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE MANAGEMENT CONTROL TEAM

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Integrating and controlling accounting data in our databases to produce a French GAAP P&L under management view
  • Preparing technical result projections during the different budgetary exercises: Update / Budget / Medium-Term Plan
  • Performing comparative analytical reviews between the different phases on technical aspects to prepare the synthesis report to be submitted to Financial Steering, Executive Management and to the Group
  • Improving and optimizing production processes in collaboration with IT development teams
  • Redesigning the economic dashboard of France results for Business Unit Heads, adapting it to their needs, and contributing to monitoring the gap between French GAAP and IFRS 17

READY TO MAKE AN IMPACT? HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance or another related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience, in similar positions (Finance, Management Control or Actuarial)
  • Prior experience in banking, insurance or in a consulting firm would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Financial Models, financial and performance analysis, and measurement and budget management
  • Knowledge of VBA / SAS / Power BI / Python is a plus. Comfortable and confident learning new tools
  • Fluent in English (C1 level minimum). Fluency in French is a plus.

Business Analytics is responsible for the analysis of financial data and the preparation of reports for the Coverage Departments and Country Head, ensure support to the Coverage department by providing extractions and analyzing the commercial activity of the bankers.

  • The Referential SSI Officer’s main mission is to perform Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) data maintenance in the systems within the team scope

  • The Cash Management Servicing Support Officer mission is to provide efficient and timely support to Relationship Analysts in their daily activity. You will be in charge of a set of administrative tasks related to the daily Cash Management servicing needed of our clients. This administrative support should be provided with a client centric approach and in close partnership with the relevant stakeholders

About the job

  • The Back Office (BO) for Corporate Structured Credit provides servicing activities related to syndicated loans or complex bilateral credits. This includes loans to customers of different Business Lines. Complex credit transactions are booked in the credit management system and then transferred, after the first drawdown, to the Back Office (BO) for Corporate Structured Credit located in Lisbon for the servicing of the live cycle events of the credit. The Loan Servicing Officer is responsible for managing all events linked to deal lifecycle, which encompasses managing bookings and updates of the loan management system

  • Manage all the events of the life cycle of the Credits: Drawdown, full or partial payment, Transfer, Accounting for Fees, Process and Follow up of accounting breaks, Deal termination
