  • The CTM Capital Markets Officer is involved in setting up and monitoring financing operations and is in direct contact with the Front Office on all matters relating to deals, in particular to ensure the feasibility of their “operability”. The officer is also in charge of the accurate translation of the operations in the Bank’s systems and official reports until the reimbursements of the deals. The Middle Officer for “Structured Credit” Products ensures that the rules applicable to BNP Paribas (accounting, regulatory, legal, ALM – Asset Liability Management, etc.) are complied with in each transaction

Your Main Activities Are

  • To monitor the portfolio, the Middle Officer will interact with a large number of stakeholders: clients for bilateral deals, lawyers, Back Office, ITO 3 C, Risk, Finance, Tax, Legal Affairs, ALM, … Liaise with the Front Office upstream of the signatures of the documentation; assistance during the negotiation phase on technical and legal points of the Documentation

  • Study and analysis of up front commissions in order to comply with Accounting Standards before accounting instructions

Your Main Activities Are

  • Control Framework Implementation:

About the Job

The Global Markets Operational and Permanent Control (GM OPC) set-up faces increasing Regulatory and Conduct demands beyond pure Operational Risk. As part of Strategy Conduct and Risk (SCR), GM OPC operates over the 3 main regions, through the three following Practices:

  • Regulatory Practice: support any regulatory requirement with a sustainable framework, in line with the dedicated Governance, Control Plan & Risk Assessment
  • Conduct Practice: assess and challenge the effectiveness of the Conduct control set-up as well as ensure a full convergence between Conduct Risk Identification, Risk and Control Self-Assessment – RCSA).
  • Operational Risk Practice: contribute to protect the business (P&L, reputation)

Your Main Activities Are

The position is within the Operational Risk Practice. The Operational Risk Analyst will work in close partnership with the senior Operational Risk Relationship Manager and will closely with the business (Front Officers, GM management, etc.), to ensure full deployment of the permanent control framework, as per Group’s standards. 

The main responsibilities are as follows:

1)       Analysis:

a.       Participate to protect P&L by analyzing Historical Incidents (HI)

b.       Perform RSCA and deep dive on FO processes in order to identify new critical risk area and suggest remediation actions

c.        Analyze controls results and perform detailed reviews;

2)       Follow up of Business activity:

a.       Build, maintain & publish key risk indicators (KRIs) on action plans, incident validation, etc.

b.       Contribute to the follow-up of the implementation internal and external recommendations

a.       Contribute to training, knowledge sharing sessions to different scopes and functions

3)       Reporting:

a.       Build reporting, dashboards, templates addressed to internal and external stakeholders

4)       Contribution to OPC production, governance & tools:

  • The AML L2 Officer’s mission is to perform an initial review of alerts escalated by AML L1, followed by more in-depth investigations for alerts that warrant an in-depth investigation

  • Deliver a timely and efficient investigation of alerts escalated by AML L1 by ensuring alerts are correctly prioritised by order of date or risk category and by handling the alerts efficiently, working effectively with internal stakeholders to obtain all relevant information
  • Conduct diligent desktop research to assess relevant data for each alert which will often include KYC, payment details, account activity, clients’ counterparts’ business activity, records of counterparts’ owners and directors, location and choice of payment vehicle
