The role is focused in the Counterparty Risk Pillar, with the key responsibilities being:

  • Monitor and review counterparty risk metrics and frameworks, notably regarding collateral envelopes and eligibility, Wrong Way Risk, Bilateral Initial Margin, counterparty risk sensitivities and stress test reports.
  • Perform standard counterparty portfolio analysis in preparation of credit annual reviews
  • Analyse & monitor Economic and Regulatory Measures – including Stress Testing – linked to Counterparty Credit Risk on the global scope of counterparties
  • Set up Controls around Data quality issues detection and propose initiatives for their remediation
  • Propose systems enhancements for counterparty risk monitoring: Work with IT teams on projects to digitalize and improve counterparty risk production and explain

Your Main Activities Are

  • Contribute to the risk management tasks of the team, such as supporting Business and Credit officers on limits and envelopes monitoring, reporting to RISK senior management, stress testing, counterparty risk analysis, etc. 
  • Monitoring of counterparty risk exposures on different perimeters (OTC, Clearing, Prime Brokerage … ) and through different metrics (Stress tests, VaR, Greeks, Margins.. ) by:
  • Production of regular risk monitoring reports and contribute to counterparty risk forums
  • Understanding the origin of the exposures
  • Understanding of the different calculation mechanisms
  • Implementing and monitoring relevant stress-tests on a regular and ad-hoc basis,
  • Monitoring of market risk sensitivities by counterparty,
  • Interacting regularly within business and Credit teams to share information
  • Play an active role in innovative and transformative actions undertaken in RISK Market and Financial Institutions. This includes a close collaboration with other teams to continue industrialization and enhancements of existing tools and processes.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, such as ad-hoc stress testing or investigating the impact of new regulation for the bank.
  • Continuously challenge existing practices when better solutions might be available. This includes
    • Risk Systems processes or counterparty risks methodologies assumptions or implementations.
    • Adequacy of the scenarios and risk metrics chosen for counterparty risk

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor’s (3-5 years) in Applied mathematics, data science or Finance
  • Knowledge of derivatives instruments and associated risk drivers 
  • Ability to react quickly but precisely in high pressure trading situations with Front Office interactions, requiring a structured approach and resourcefulness.
  • Understanding of credit risk metrics (Exposure at Default, PD, etc.) and exposure metrics (Stress Tests, Value at Risk).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Steady personality, well organized and analytical approach.
  • Solid technical skills, aside from Microsoft Office (with VBA) also experience in the use of a programming language such as Python or R. SQL is a plus

Reporting to the Global Head of Client Development Strategy & Analytics, the role will focus on delivering global projects and initiatives across Client Development contributing to the growth of Global Market’s franchise.   • The Senior KYC Officer’s (SKYCO) primary focus is to act as the first level of control (1B) in reviewing, advising and validating on KYC (Know Your Client) due diligence assessment of prospective and existing clients. The SKYCO is also accountable for ensuring all relevant stakeholders sign-offs
Your Main Activities Are
  • Data Control and KYC file review:
    • Validates correct data entry into the KYC tools based on the due diligence conducted and controls documentation format and content, to ensure adherence to due diligence guidelines
    • Refers to relevant team members and/or managers to highlight data inconsistency and suggests methods of resolution, in addition, identify root causes impacting the quality and the training needs
  • Ensures high standard of quality in the KYC files in adherence ato the bank’s policies and procedures. Additionally, acts as a subject matter expert to support KYC Due Diligence team, as well as implements new policies, procedures and communications from Compliance and GCS
  • Ensures timely escalation and owns proposed course of actions to line management to addresss identifies risks and blocking points during such processes
  • Overviews the full client KYC file analysis, to ensure completeness and consistency before validation steps, substantiating the KYC review with a factual based-analysis
  • Ensure all processes executed during the final overview of the KYC files are delivered per predefined guidelines
  • Contributes to KPIs regarding quality (quality review including review of Compliance review results) and produce reports on the controls results performed and areas of improvement identified
  • Decision and follow-up:
    • Arranges, prepares and documents Client Acceptance Committee (CAC) towards the final approval or the KYC file. Also, coordinates CAC meeting
  • Liaises with Compliance, relationship managers and other senior stakeholders for KYC approval
  • Coordinates with KYC teams in other Corporate and Institutional Banking locations in order to streamline the multisite KYC approval process for client on-boarding and recertification. Ensure the completeness of the conditions

BE PART OF OUR DYNAMIC INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CONTROL TEAM  

International Financial Control from which the candidate will be an active contributor and full member, is in charge of the production of the financial statements, but not only,  with a permanent care for transversality with the other departments or Services of the Accounting Division (e.g. France Accounting, Consolidation) or the other Finance Divisions of BNP PARIBAS CARDIF Group.

YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CONTROL TEAM

  • Ensure that the IFRS consolidation package is delivered within the fixed delays and in accordance with the applicable regulation and standards; 
  • Guarantee the reliability of the reporting processes;
  • Reinforce the production of the various exhibits and financial appendices within the Group;
  • Guarantee a regular reporting on your activities to your team and Manager (IFC);
  • Contribute to the correct execution and the proper solving of complex reporting issues (incoming entities, mergers and acquisitions, activities ceded…) during the quarterly reporting.

AS OUR NEW FINANCIAL REPORTING ACCOUNTANT, YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Knowledge of IFRS Standards
  • 3+ years in a financial accounting team, management controlling team or an accounting audit firm (Big 4) with the willingness to continue growing in that accounting and consolidation field;
  • English (intermediate to fluent), French is an asset; Adaptability and ability to collaborate;
  • Motivated by new challenges, strive to be consistently learning and improving, efficiency and automatization’s oriented.

About the job

  • The Corporate Trust Operations Officer is responsible for analysing and integrating missing data in the systems, performing the consequent controls according to the procedures in place and ensuring that SLAs are met

Your Main Activities Are

  • Process activities following the operational procedures in place, ensuring the SLA is met and perform the tasks according to work allocation
  • Performing the controls according to the procedures and risk mapping (checklists, 4 eyes check, among others)
  • Analyse and integrate missing data in the systems while comparing data from different sources ensuring its reliability
  • Manage queries, while understanding the different priorities and forward the requests to the respective departments
  • Ensure escalation of non solved queries and potential incidents
  • Extract reports, gather information and provide information to support the decision process and/or oversight duties
