The Global Markets (GM) and AI Lab is a team of data scientists specializing in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Modelling and Natural Language Processing, to deliver high impact business solutions and to drive innovation in data-driven decision-making.
Based in Lisbon, you’ll work within a team of finance professionals from our global hubs in London, Paris, New York, etc., supporting BNPP CIB market activities globally, with a primary focus on Front Office Control and Surveillance (FOCS) topics. You’ll develop advanced analytical and machine‑learning solutions to improve surveillance of communications, helping detect and prevent undesirable behaviour, meaning unprofessional conduct and market abuse
Your Main Activities Are
- Explore and examine data from diverse data sources
- Conceptual modelling, statistical analysis, predictive modelling and optimization design
- Understand and work around limitations in analytic models
- Data cleanup, normalization and transformation
- Process optimization design based on historical data
- Hypothesis testing: being able to develop hypothesis and test with careful experiments

Profile and Skills to Success
- Master’s or PhD in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or a related quantitative field
- Strong foundation in Probability, Inference and Linear Algebra
- Knowledge or experience with Machine‑Learning techniques such as Classification, Prediction and Clustering
- Programming skills in Python and knowledge of common numerical and machine-learning packages, such as NumPy, scikit-learn, pandas, Keras, TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Ability to write clear and concise code

- The Finance Capital Markets Products Team Manager mission is to measure, control and explain the financial reporting of the Region’s entities, covering a large part of BNP Paribas Business Lines. About the job
- The KYC Controller’s primary focus is to act as the first level of control in reviewing, advising and validating on KYC (Know Your Client) due diligence assessment of prospective and existing clients. The KYC Controller is also accountable for ensuring all relevant stakeholders sign-offs
- Perform data control and KYC file review: Validates correct data entry into the KYC tools based on the due diligence conducted and controls documentation format and content, to ensure adherence to due diligence guidelines
- Refers to relevant team members and/or managers to highlight data inconsistency and suggest methods of resolution. In addition, identifies root causes impacting the quality and the trainings needs
- Ensures high standard of quality in the KYC files in adherence to the bank’s policies and procedures. Additionally, acts as a subject matter expert to support KYC Due Diligence team. Implements new policies, procedures and communications from Compliance and Global Coordination and Support
- Ensures timely escalation and owns proposed course of actions to line management to address identified risks and blocking points during such processes
- Overviews the full client KYC file analysis, to ensure completeness and consistency before validation steps, substantiating the KYC review with a factual based-analysis
- Ensures all processes executed during the final overview of the KYC files are delivered per predefined guidelines

- RISK Operational Risk Management (RISK ORM) steers and reports on the Group’s Operational Risk Management framework and status, in close collaboration with the concerned Functions. It is the independent Second Line of Defence (2LOD) on operational risk management activities of the Group, including on Information and Communication Technology risk management activities

Your Main Activities

About the Job
- The Primary Digital Support team, working closely with counterparts in Primary Markets, will focus on the development and implementation of tools, applications and processes to help the business operate more effectively, and provide on-going assistance for on-shore teams in their day-to-day origination and execution of transaction
Your Main Activities

- Global Credit, a business line within Global Markets, is responsible for Primary Markets, new issuance, and Secondary Trading of corporate, such as fins and non-fins debt and related instruments such as CDS, indices, options and structured products. It comprises different roles such as syndicate, debt capital markets, trading, sales, structuring and desk analysts
- Within Primary Markets, DCM Marketers manage and own the commercial relationship with Issuer clients, and are responsible for originating mandates for public and privately placed bond issuances across currencies, Syndicate Officers manage the execution of new primary bond issuances, with DCM Solutions teams provide product-specific structuring expertise in areas such as liability management, capital solutions, and sustainable capital markets

- This role is part of the newly created Portfolio Management Oversight team, within RISK Corporate Securitisation, whose includes Credit Decision (in addition to Securitisation Credit Officers (SCOs), Independent Portfolio Analysis, Stress Testing and Management Information Reporting, Second Line of Defence (2LOD) Portfolio Manager (PM) Check and Challenge of First Line of Defence (1LOD) PM
Your Main Activities Are
- Providing RISK oversight to the wind-down of legacy Asset Backed Securities (ABS) Portfolios of the bank, which includes undertaking quarterly International Financial Reporting Standard 9 (IFRS9) provisions committee reviews, provision analysis and recommendations in liaison with the Business contributors within Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB)
- Production of quarterly IFRS9 Cost of Risk computations and periodic stress testing
- Contribution to stress testing of Risk Weighted Assets, for securitization positions
- Prudential valuation and liquidity reserve computation
- Other ad hoc roles defined from time to time
- Over time, key responsibilities will shift towards portfolio management, which include the following
- Monitoring of existing transactions, which include a critical look over transactions’ metrics and limits, identification of performance trends and seeking allocated analyst’s opinion to clarify any observed trend and/or breach of limits. This also includes the identification of key trends of the portfolio by asset class
- In terms of reporting to different stakeholders’, liaise with specialist of each asset class in order to obtain latest update for that asset class. With time and knowledge of the portfolio/market, be able to provide such comments. These comments and/or dashboards should be provided in a timely manner, in addition to being accurate and relevant for each stakeholder
- Regarding annual reviews of transactions, provide yearly calendar of annual reviews and be in constant contact with Business to prevent overdue annual reviews and proposals being delivered with sufficient time before deadline
- For quarterly portfolio reviews, be responsible, on RISK side, for the review of the materials sent by Business and identification of potential signs of deterioration and/or mistakes in data (and seek its correction if needed). In addition, person will be responsible for preparation of minutes of quarterly reviews’ meetings
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting / Mathematics / Statistics or related
- At least 3 years of experience in Financial Analysis / Advisory or similar
- Advanced level of English, both written and oral
- Knowledge in MS Office Pack (Excel, PowerPoint) and IFRS9 and provisions computations
- Familiarity with Basel III/IV, CRR II, EBA Guidelines on securitisation, FCA/ECB supervisory expectations, AP/ILAAP and the overall risk management framework
