- Securitised Products Group (SPG) covers Asset Backed Securities (ABS), Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) and Private Debt Financing. SPG advises corporate and institutional clients providing them with financing, risk transfer and capital markets access, through securitisation transactions across a range of asset classes. The Client Adverse Information Analyst is responsible for proactively identifying, researching, and analysing adverse information related to existing and prospective clients, both natural persons in their capacity as directors or Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBOs), and legal entities. The goal is to support the bank’s risk-based approach, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigate reputational, legal, and financial exposure when making decisions to approve new transactions, renew or monitor existing ones
Your Main Activities Are
- Adverse Information Screening
- Conduct systematic screening of clients against internal watch lists, public databases, media sources, sanction lists, and adverse news feeds
- Perform name matching, entity matching, and fuzzy logic checks using internal and external tools to capture variations and typographical errors
- Produce periodic monitoring reports, namely number and materiality of alerts
- Investigation or Analysis
- Gather, verify, and evaluate the reliability of source documents, such as court rulings, regulatory filings, press articles and discussion forums
- Assess the materiality and relevance of adverse findings
- Ensure all adverse news screening activities comply with applicable regulations and internal policies
- Reporting or Escalation
- Produce clear, concise risk assessments and recommendations, such as no issue identified, escalation to Origination, Coverage and Non-Financial Risk teams and Delegation Holders for further analysis

Profile and Skills to Success
- Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Management, Economics or similar areas

About the Team
- The HR Tools team’s mission is to deliver flexible, customer-oriented, high quality and cost-effective HR tools and services to BNP Paribas employees and HR teams. We are part of Group HR and based in Lisbon and Brussels. We work closely together with Group HR in Paris and the HR departments in more than 70 countries. These Group HR Tools cover the following HR processes: Learning & Development, Recruitment & Mobility, Performance & Career, Global Reporting, GHR referential. Your Main Activities Are

About the Job
- Securitised Products (SP) is one of BNPP’s Global Capital Markets business lines and covers several businesses, including Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) & Private Debt Financing. SP works with corporate and institutional clients, to provide them with financing, risk transfer and capital markets access, through securitisation transactions across a range of asset classes.
- The NFR team is responsible for identifying, assessing, and monitoring operational, fraud, and other non-financial risks associated with clients’ businesses in both initial Due Diligence and ongoing monitoring. This is a critical role that requires an understanding of operational risk management principles, as well as strong analytical, communication. The successful candidate will have access to certified third-party providers for conducting such tasks.
Your Main Activities Are
As an analyst, you will be expected to support non‑financial‑risk due‑diligence cycle, representing SP with other teams when relevant and to support the business
Client Operational Risk Assessment:
- Collect and review data on clients’ operational risks, including internal and external fraud, customer and products risks, business disruption, and KYC/AML/Compliance set-up
- Evaluate SPG clients’ risk management practices, controls, ownership and governance structures to identify potential vulnerabilities and compliance risks
Risk Rating and Grading:
- Apply the established operational‑risk rating methodology to assign operational risk ratings to clients
- Document the rationale for each rating and prepare briefing notes for credit teams
- Update ratings when trigger events occur (e.g., negative news, audit findings)
Client Monitoring and Review:
- Perform periodic reviews of client financial statements, cash‑movement reports, and external audit opinions for operational‑risk indicators
- Monitor and summarise findings from open sources, including news media, company filings, regulatory disclosures and court records, leveraging AI and internal tools as applicable
Risk Mitigation and Controls:
- Work with credit and structuring teams to capture agreed mitigation actions (e.g., additional covenants, monitoring triggers).
- Keep track of the risk controls and verify completion of pending action items
Reporting and Governance:
- Produce regular operational‑risk reports to senior management, credit committees, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in credit committee meetings to provide operational risk insights
Agreed‑Upon‑Procedures (AUP) Execution
- Assist in scoping AUP engagements (sample size, period, focus areas)
- Draft initial findings and highlight control weaknesses

- Belonging to the CCCO (Conduct and Control Chief Officer), you will integrate the dynamic and international TAC NAC team (Transaction Approval Committee and New Activity Committee) being responsible for coordinating the approval processes for new transactions/activities and playing a key role as well in coordinating its committees.
