  • The trainee would share his/her time between one of the 3 teams: Markets Backoffice (MBO), Cash Transfers (CT) and Funds Execution (FE)
    • The Markets Back Office’s team is responsible for the booking, matching and settlement of Money Markets, Forex and OTC Derivatives operations
    • Cash Transfers’ team is responsible for the processing of cash transfers operations according to clients instructions
    • Funds Execution’s Team ensures the execution of all orders on investment funds, in the Wealth Management (WM) business line

Your Main Activities Are

  • Assist MBO team on processing the booking of operations related to Forex and Money Market and managing the confirmations related to these products
  • Execute for MBO team the necessary daily reconciliations
  • Ensure for CT team the processing of client cash instructions (outgoing, manual instructions and incomings)
  • Execute for CT team the treatment of standing orders, direct debits and prepaid cards     
  • Help FE team on the execution of investment fund orders with custodians/transfer agents, in compliance with cut-offs and also monitoring executed orders, pending’s orders, contract notes and reminders to the counterparties                                           
  • Perform for FE team the controls and the enrichment of fund values in the referential database, as well as,  processing and responding to internal customer requests
  • Implement internal procedures and directives concerning the respective team’s activity, particularly in terms of controls  
  • Ensure good quality of operations with respects of deadlines and garantee effective and clear communication with Front Office, Relationship Managers’ and other teams that are part of the daily workflow

This Team based in Porto city was created to extend the operation of our Client, ICARE, to the European market. ICARE is leader in the French market for warranty in the automobile field and aims to project this experience to the European market through our platform.

Today German and Italian are our main markets but We have already started the operation in Spain, Portugal and Check Republic and We intend to open England, Sweden and more, until 2025.

Our main activities are managing dealer warranty, extended warranty and maintenance contracts by handling authorization requests or contract management request for multiple products depending on the country and partner, all from the same platform and location.

YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE WARRANTY MANAGEMENT INTERNATIONAL

The ideal candidate must have solid professional experience in the back office, ideally:

• Ensure proper registration records in the Information

• Management of repair of motor vehicle rights after contract cover

• Examination of the admissibility of applications

• Telephone and written contact with different departments if necessary

• Analyse records and check the insurability and financial risk based on their knowledge to comply with the decision with the procedures and rules of transfer

• Notification of decisions by clients and/or counterparties

• Ensure administrative management

AS OUR NEW TECHNICIAN YOU MUST HAVE

• The position is open to all qualifications in one of the following subjects: Mechanical engineering or equivalent, motor vehicle or diagnostic technicians

• At least one year’s experience in a car or truck repair workshop (optional)

• fluent German and good English

About the job

  • Transfer Pricing (“TP”) refers to the price for cross-border transactions of goods and services between two or more entities of BNP Paribas. In other words, TP is the price for intra-group transactions between entities located in different tax jurisdictions
  • Within BNP Paribas, Global Market (“GM”) activities are organized according to a “Global Trading” model, in which trading, sales, structuring and support functions occur in different sites where BNP Paribas entities are located; thus, leading to the calculation of a transfer price for the remuneration of each function involved in the generation of the GM revenues
  • On top of this standard TP role, you will also embody a specific role of “super user” for the TP operational system: this role ensures a bridge between the functional and the technical aspects of the tool. You will be trained to be the SPOC to analyze and report all the issues or improvements required from the tool, and assist the IT Support team on the delivery

Your Main Activities Are

  • Ensuring the permanent documentation pertaining to his/her perimeter is exhaustive and up to date; this includes the TP agreements and TP methodologies, with the close collaboration of the Tax Department
  • Assisting the Tax Department in the implementation of new methodologies when deemed necessary
  • Contributing to the GM Finance closing process by computing revenues and costs and producing TP notifications and invoices
  • Producing all necessary audit trails to support his/her TP invoices, to be provided to the entities and in case of audit

About the Team

  • Within the Group Finance and Strategy department, Global Markets Transfer Pricing (“GM TP”) is a central team responsible for redistributing revenues and costs to the 65 GM jurisdictions according to their contribution to the global trading business, hence ensuring the correct taxable profits in each location
  • Concretely, the GM Transfer Pricing team produces: Monthly/quarterly notifications of revenues and costs to GM entities, to support the booking of accounting accruals; Annual TP invoices for settlement and yearly closing
  • Reporting directly to the GM Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”), The TP team works in close collaboration with: GM Management Accounting, TP main data provider as they confirm the revenues and costs bases to be reallocated; GM Business Managers and Group Tax Department in charge of determining TP methodologies; Local Finances the main recipients of TP notifications and invoices

  • The CCR Capital Analyst is responsible for producing and maintaining the regulatory capital numbers for counterparty risk (both advanced and standard approaches)

Na prática, o teu dia-a-dia

Integrado no Departamento de IT Service Delivery, terás como missão prestar apoio técnico e funcional aos utilizadores das diversas aplicações bancárias. As principais responsabilidades são:

  • Monitorizar e manter a estabilidade, disponibilidade e performance das Aplicações dentro do âmbito da equipa;
  • Encontrar uma solução para resolver as anomalias técnicas e funcionais ou encaminhar para a equipa apropriada (interna ou externa) e acompanhar a sua resolução;

  • Aplicar alterações em ambiente de Produção nas Aplicações em âmbito de acordo com procedimento internos (Change e Release Managament) minimizando as disrupções de serviço e através das ferramentas disponíveis de DevOps;

Your Main Activities Are

  • Execution support – intermediate structuring experience, with a growing level of automony
    • Be responsible of specific tasks for the execution of Sustainable Loan and Bond transactions, under the supervision of a senior team members but with a growing level of automomy. Advise on transaction execution, by framing, designing and supporting the delivery of sustainable finance mandates  
    • Perform analysis of the ESG profile and strategy of issuers/ borrowers and key industry trends, and provide structuring recommendations based on findings
    • Prepare high-quality presentations to clients
    • Keep abreast with sustainable finance market developments (e.g. best market practices, green taxonomies, sustainable finance regulatory environment, etc.) Knowledge & Data – ability to direct projects and provide supervision, as well as to share strategic insights from market data

  • Produce high-quality Credit Proposals in a timely and efficient manner, in order to enable BNP Paribas Corporate Coverage to do new business with clients (i.e. gain credit committee approval for new business), manage exposure to credit risk and meet its regulatory requirements (Annual Reviews).

  • Assesment of Counterparty and Credit Risk
