Our Insurance Accounting department is responsible for insurance accounting data in multi-standards as well as guarantors of fair taxation.
As an accountant, you will be in charge of several missions whose main objective is to guarantee accounting data in FGAAP and IFRS: day-to-day activity, accounting justifications, Balance Sheet and Income Statement analysis.
YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE ACCOUNTING TEAM
Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Day to day activity
- Analysis and justification of accounts on a perimeter for which you will be responsible
- Audit trail formalization and documentation
- Ensure exchanges with contributors and stakeholders to obtain input
- Perform analyses and report conclusions
- Propose changes and monitor their implementation
2. Quarterly closing in local GAAP and IFRS
- Review the quality data

- Within Prime Services, our Risk Management team plays a critical role in managing portfolio risk and determining the amount of leverage we can offer clients. We work closely with other areas within the business, including sales, securities lending, and client management, as well as with transversal teams such as Credit Risk Management and Exposure Management Group. Our team in Lisbon provides critical support to the desk in managing client financing risk for the business.

About the job
- Resources and Portfolio Management (RPM), part of Securitized Products Group (SPG), focuses on risk transfer solutions for capital and risk management within BNPP. It identifies internal clients’ needs, structuring optimal solutions and finding market capacity, in collaboration with Origination & Structuring and Syndicates to deliver effective execution. RPM leverages expertise in capital management, structuration, and credit insurances to support active portfolio management. This includes resource monitoring, portfolio analysis, optimization for revenue, risk, and capital efficiency, and managing insurance distribution
- The RPM Data Trainee for Securitization is part of Data Solution and Modelling (DSM) team which is in charge of developing and structuring the data offering as well as providing data insight and analytics to related stakeholders within RPM. Involved in every step of RPM’s product lifecycle, DSM plays a central role in accelerating and securing the activity
Your Main Activities Are
- Perform minor adhoc data updates: Mapping of new fields, data enhancement, etc
- Help close topics in Securitisation Transaction Management (TM) and DSM backlog as change codes
- Help with the documentation of processes and code
- Help on performing adhoc studies related to securitization based on historical data as Risk weighted (RW) evolution, discharge reasons by program, data quality (mapping issues and others), etc
- Help on the project of building the datamart for securitization (historization of capital structure, Profit & Loss (P&L), securitization results, discharge audit trail, etc) by helping organizing data fields and support data on excel files, etc
- Leverage on our data structure to build helpful visualizations or analysis to the management team regarding Power BI, Qlik, and Python
- Provide support to other DSM team members in different projects
- Overall support of colleagues in data related issues and database analysis
- Connection between DSM and TM local team and management in Paris
Profile and Skills to Success

In concrete terms, your daily life
As a Team leader, we will be responsible for supervision a team composed by Data Scientists and Data Analysts that are to produce and adapt data analysis models and tools, and to develop and improve data quality controls to help standardization of processes and analysis. The Team Leader is also responsible for ensuring good relationships with Hub clients:
- Assign tasks to the different members of the team, according to their skills and availability
- Guarantee compliance with internal methodologies and procedures
- Ensure a first level of quality review
- Ensure the adequacy between the available resources and the expected workload
- Ensure the proper use of the IT resources made available (servers)
- You will be able to support the team in producing and optimizing data analytics models/tools, and participate in the process;
- Together with the development team you will ensure high-level of scalability for our engines and ensure code optimization (RAM, cores, any IT resource) to have light engines
- Run python-based analytical engines on a regular basis (monthly, weekly, daily) to serve countries and automate these run phases
- Under the direction of the Hub Manager, lead standardization projects (process, methodological) with other team leaders within the Hub
- Take the initiative to propose forward-looking changes to the current procedures, processes and methodologies.
- Participate in events chosen by the hub manager to promote the hub and share the Hub best practices
