About the Job 

  • The Lisbon-based Structured Products Trainee is part of a global sales workforce in charge of selling Structured Products and Derivatives Products in particular to clients used to trade standardized products on a reverse inquiry mode. The mission is diverse from assisting and supporting the other front office members in their day-to-day activity to focusing on automation and transformation projects

Your Main Activities Are

  • Pre-Trade Tasks
    1. Interact with Sales to finalize Clients’ on-boarding
    2. Prepare marketing documents/pitches/emails in coordination with the Sales
    3. Complete trade approval process with necessary channels prior to initiating trade 
  • Post-Trade Tasks
    1. Finalize booking of Traded deals 
    2. Interact with all of the internal stakeholders and clients regarding any traded deal
    3. Manage a database of trades in inventory
  • Digitalization / Transformation
    1. Continuously escalate feedback and improvement ideas to increase streamlining of the workflow
    2. Active contribution to the development of the Bank’s tools to enhance pre-trade as well as post-trade processes and systems
    3. Responsible for suggesting and driving digitalization projects and implementing them in the day to day
  • Help Sales Processing Client’s requests about Structured Products and Derivatives
    1. Price (or liaise with Structuring to price) requested products

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master’s in Finance, Engineering or Economics
  • Interest in Financial Markets (with focus in Derivatives and Structured Products)
  • Knowledge of Python and VBA

  • The Principal Collateral Operations Officer processes the Net Present Value of the portfolio of trades between BNP Paribas and its counterparties on a daily (or as specified) basis and ensure that this exposure is sufficiently collateralised

Le / La gestionnaire Front to Back intervient sur tout ou partie des activités suivantes:

  • Préparation et passage des ordres
    1. Garantir les investissements et les désinvestissements titres aux dates et heures prévues 
    2. Garantir les investissements et les désinvestissements espèces aux dates et heures prévues
  • Gestion administrative des opérations (enregistrement)
    1. Garantir la fiabilité de la gestion administrative des opérations directement ou en lien avec les Délégataires
  • Pour les UC mandats, Calcul des valeurs liquidatives mandats (VL) :
    1. Garantir le calcul des VL des mandats conformément aux règles édictées
    2. Garantir le correct prélèvement des frais de gestion administratif et des frais de gestion financière pour les UC mandats
  • Adossement actif – passif : garantir le principe de congruence (UC gestion libre et UC mandats)

About the Team 

Within the RISK ORM Framework, you will be part of the RISK ORM Solutions team. 

RISK ORM Solutions is a team whose activities are application and project management related to operational risk management and reporting for the entire BNPP group. 

The team comprises about 50 people (20 interns and about 30 external assistants)  

Our team interacts with many players (methodology, IT, group reporting, compliance, etc.), but also with many divisions and businesses (CIB, IPS, CPBS, etc.).

About the job

  • The Asset Services Officer is in charge of tracking and following-up corporate actions, incomes, and related taxes purposes on behalf of clients (hedge funds). Aimed to capture events, setup related tracking files, coordinate impacts across the different recipients and products affected, and to ensure reconciliations across key dates until payments reconciled for accounting purpose

Your Main Activities Are

  • Follow-up and capture events announcements across all markets. Analyze terms prior to transmit notifications to clients and guarantee client events notifications and terms of the offer
  • Collect clients’ elections, or lenders for voluntary corporate actions, and ensure the transmission of voluntary elections and options choices to custodians, respecting any timeline and/or deadline cut-offs
  • Ensure accuracy of treatment and bookings for events’ operations within the booking and accounting systems
  • Process incomes and stocks payments as well claim for receivables, toward any external parties in alignment with group guidelines policies for any wire forms
  • Ensure the right fiscal model is applied along the different records, as per documentations in place, and in close collaboration with internal teams and custodians/agents
  • Keep on documenting all procedures in place to stick regulations, markets updates, and process evolutions. Control books and records at the different events lifecycle stages and until its pay date
  • Follow and resolve any outstanding items in a timely manner with relevant escalation procedure applicable and compliance duties. Contribute in all control plan protocols according to the local operational risk policies
  • Deep understanding of UK client asset protection (CASS) and AMF custody rules (derived from MiFID)

You will join the BNP Paribas Securities Services Digital Office, a business team of 40+ resources distributed across Paris, London, Frankfurt, Warsaw and Lisbon. You will manage a team of 5 product managers.

Your Main Activities Are

Within BNP Paribas Securities Services, you will be part of the Digital Office (Global Digital Team) and will manage the Lisbon taskforce. Your main mission will be to benchmark, design, develop and improve 2S digital products for institutional clients (Asset Owners, Asset Managers, Banks, Brokers, and Alternatives).

Digital channels and services represent a front window for the bank and are therefore of great importance. They are built and managed with several objectives in mind : reinforcing the digital offering breadth and depth, reducing the cost to serve, improving the User Experience to retain clients and win new mandates, mitigating the risks related to a complex digital framework.

As part of your function, you will be in charge of framing, designing, piloting and deploying several digital solutions. This will be managed in coordination with all the stakeholders involved: central digital office, business lines, sales teams, operations, IT teams and relevant functions. You are able to understand the market and the clients’ requirements. You design innovative digital products with a strong delivery mindset (results oriented).
