- The Settlement Processing Analyst works within the Securities Transaction Management Department and is responsible for the processing of the main processes which include pre & post settlement activities, clearing, relevant legal documentation, transaction and event-related accounting for securities deemed in scope. In the scope of these activities, the Officer interacts with several internal departments, external counter parties and entities
Your Main Activities Are
- Responsible for the settlement of client transactions on a timely and cost effective basis, monitoring, analysing and processing client’s instruction data
- Develop a deep knowledge of the market requirements, internal processes and tools
- Ensure market information databases and internal procedures are known and updated
- Ensure that the checklist’s tasks are duly executed, in line with internal procedures and market rules and/or guidelines therefore mitigating settlement costs and operational risk
- Communicate effectively with Client Facing team and provide support on the daily activities, ensuring a close follow-up on any pending investigation

About the Team
- BNP Paribas Exane is the Cash Equities division of BNP Paribas Global Markets. Within this division, the Cash Equities Execution Consulting Analyst plays a pivotal role in optimising client execution strategies, offering expert guidance on algorithm and parameter selection, and conducting in-depth market microstructure research. - The Back Office (BO) for Corporate Structured Credit provides servicing activities related to syndicated loans or complex bilateral credits. This includes loans to customers of different Business Lines. About the job
- The Account Life Cycle Team Leader mission is to manage the team in organizing the team activity, ensuring quality and that all operational activities are in accordance with ALC and internal procedures. Additionally, is also accountable for contributing actively to the implementation and success of initiatives that promote organization, efficiency and team spirit
Your Main Activities Are
- Being in charge of Projects/Events management requests, as well as to ensure a proper communication process among stakeholders. Active participation and follow up on transformation projects like Digitalization and Harmonization for process enhancement and Clients mission management. Follow-up and ensure of correct process management upon impacts due to ALC or other scopes activity/operational projects
- Explain to clients how their accounts are operating, ensuring that the services delivered are aligned with the Service Level Agreements (SLA), and participate in Client follow-up meetings (transversal or dedicated to specific topics). Additionally, have strong understanding of the clients’ needs throughout operations and across the business according to BNP quality requirements
- Ensure clients’ queries are timely and adequately addressed; assess the capacity of the team to support manual processes; plan the daily work of the team and define goals; support the team on the tasks, solve escalating issues and report incidences; and prepare user guides for the activity
- Coordinate the recruitment process with Team Manager and HR, from need identification and interview to validation of profile; define and monitor team training plan; ensure new team members welcome and integration in the teams, monitoring training and evolution, sharing feedback with direct manager and/or HR, when appropriate; manage people accordingly to their skills and with purpose of continuous improvement, sponsoring initiatives and learning increase; foster people growth within the team or in the company, preparing team and activity for mobility; define objectives for the year and perform regular objective review with each staff member to align performance with objectives; and share team performance assessment with the management to facilitate the compensation review process
- Act as first point of escalation on clients’ queries (in case a Supervisor does not exist); deal with client issues escalated by the team and share them with management when appropriate; participate in client visits and conference calls; stimulate Uplifting Service and ensure that SLAs are respected; collect all information relating to changes in procedure or market changes relevant to client and coordinate with management the way to proceed; and ensure collaboration between parent location and IOC
- Monitor activity progress against the goals and take appropriate corrective action as and when it is required; disseminate and control the application of new procedures; ensure the first level of control on team activity and share results with management; KPIs creation and completion related to operational activity and staff
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting
- Up to 2 years of experience of Client Management or Banking and Financial Operations
- Fluency in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools, namely Excel
- Ability to understand, explain and support change

- BNP Paribas Securities Services is the bank for financial institutions, handling operational transactions linked to their securities accounts. As a branch of BNP Paribas, our mission consists of protecting our clients’ assets and managing their operational transactions throughout the whole investment cycle
- As part of Derivatives Execution & Clearing (DEC) business line, the Derivatives Clearing Officer has to handle middle-office and back-office activities on his/her markets scope
Your Main Activities Are
- Middle – office
- Be the 1st point of contact for all counterparties (clients, brokers, CCPs) with regards to trade allocation/clearing
- Top day trade monitoring and allocation for involved exchanges to ensure STP trade flow
- Follow up of pending trades closely and ensure all clients trades are booked at T day
- Perform timely reconciliation between internal systems and Exchanges ones
- Identify, assess, monitor and control the risks of the activity
 
- Back – office
- Clearing Houses vs Back Office Reconciliations (margins, premiums , positions, initial margins)
- Ensure that reports sent to clients are reliable
- Manage daily payments and intra-day margin calls
- Ensure that all clients related issues, queries and request are addressed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner
- Monitoring of corporate action events impacting the underlying contracts
- Follow up of instructions settlement processing
- Maintenance of the accountancy balance (Market fees reconciliation, CCP vs client cash flows, among others)
- Participate in projects to drive the business forward to deliver internal or market system releases (Market releases, MO/BO tools enhancements, among others)

About the job
- The mission of Transversal Account Officer consists of protecting our clients’ assets and managing their operational transactions throughout the whole investment cycle. The primary focus of the Transversal Account Officer is to perform our responsibilities under a controlled environment that is compliant with strict regulatory rules and guidelines while providing superior client services and solutions.
