  • The Buyer Specialist is part of a Group Category team where he/she is responsible for optimising the Spend bases across the purchasing segments under his/her responsibility, for all BNP Paribas entities, in accordance with the Group’s rules of conduct applicable to supplier relationships. A purchasing segment may correspond either to a sub-category within a procurement category or to a portfolio of key suppliers

Your Main Activities Are

  • Defines a procurement strategy and action plan for his/her segment(s)
  • Oversees the implementation of the purchasing action plan within his/her segment(s) with BNP Paribas entities
  • Manages the supplier relationship within his/her segment(s)
  • Ensures the satisfaction of internal customers in terms of supplier costs, quality, deadlines and service level
  • Contributes to cross-functional purchasing actions across the categories or actions relating to the improvement of purchasing processes or tools within the group
  • Manages an expenses budget of up to several hundred million euros with a global geographical scope

  • For global procurement activities: Communicates the results of his/her actions to the entities’ Purchasing teams (calls for tender, negotiations, process changes, among others) and spends time with the entities’ Purchasing teams to facilitate the effective implementation of global supplier actions and contracts; Ensures and monitors the achievement and reporting of savings, in accordance with the rules of the Procurement Function within the Group relating to the calculation and reporting of procurement savings; Contributes to the development of the purchasing community within his/her segments; Contributes to cross-functional actions or projects across the categories or actions relating to the improvement of procurement processes or tools

  • The Know Your Client (KYC) Platform Team Manager is responsible for ensuring that services provided by the Shared Service Center (SSC) meet the Service Level Agreements (SLAs).   • As a Group Lead Buyer, your mission is to operate on the internal clients’ behalf, the purchase of Information Technology (IT) Services, ensuring the respect of regulation and BNP Paribas’ standards and achieving savings target

Your Main Activities Are

  • Support and challenge your clients (BNP Paribas entities) in their purchasing requests, ensure client satisfaction (quality, costs, processing time)
  • Define IT Services strategies and action plans for your internal clients
  • Lead Request for Proposal (RFP) or Direct Negotiation processes and analyse suppliers’ offers for fixed price projects
  • Negotiate the best price and contractual conditions with the providers and achieve savings target
  • Prepare General Conditions and Application contracts. Ensure compliance with regulation, BNP Paribas’ standards and framework contracts

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics, or Law
  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement related activities (purchasing, finance or operations) ideally within a digital, technology or innovation-focused environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Fluent in English

About the job

  •  The mission of the team is to provide cross‑functional support to Global Banking & FIC, working closely with the Head of CIB Front Office, whilst coordinating and consolidating information from Human Resources, Finance, Communications and Community Management. The team also supports the Chief of Staff in designing and implementing strategic initiatives.

Your Main Activities Are

  •  Provide cross‑functional support on processes and deliverables linked to Finance, Human Resources, Business Continuity, Facilities and other relevant areas
  • Consolidate, analyse and report key data, creating dashboards and KPI‑focused reports that feed budget monitoring, space‑management, internal barometer surveys and other strategic decision‑making processes
  • Deliver strategic analyses for the Chief of Staff, preparing briefing notes, presentation decks and ad‑hoc research to support decision making process 
  • Assist with transversal initiatives and new projects, tracking progress and contributing to improvements that enhance scope management
  • Coordinate internal communications and team events, handling onboarding activities, newsletters, SharePoint updates and other channels that keep the department informed and engaged

About the job

  • The Group lead Buyer is part of a Group Category team where he/she is responsible for optimising the Spend bases across the purchasing segments under his/her responsibility, for all BNP Paribas entities, in accordance with the Group’s rules of conduct applicable to supplier relationships. A purchasing segment may correspond either to a sub-category within a procurement category or to a portfolio of key suppliers
  • Reports to a Group Category Team Leader
  • To achieve these objectives, the Group Lead Buyer:
  • Defines a procurement strategy and action plan for his/her segment(s)
  • Oversees the implementation of the purchasing action plan within his/her segment(s) with BNP Paribas entities
  • Manages the supplier relationship within his/her segment(s)
  • Ensures the satisfaction of internal customers in terms of supplier costs, quality, deadlines and service level
  • Contributes to cross-functional purchasing actions across the categories or actions relating to the improvement of purchasing processes or tools within the group
  • Manages an expenses budget of up to several hundred million euros with a global geographical scope
  • Ensures his/her actions and strategy are in compliance with the Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy
  • Acts as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) within Procurement & Performance for certain internal customers for whom the team manages procurement activities; and, as such, is responsible on their behalf for monitoring regularly their external spend and other procurement indicators, defining appropriate procurement strategies, and preparing and chairing the procurement committees

Your Main Activities Are

  • With the support of the Group Category Manager and/or the Group Category Team Leader, heads up multi-functional teams (internal customers or stakeholders), define the procurement action plans for his/her segments and ensures their validation by the Purchasing Management Team
  • Ensures the implementation of the purchasing action plan within his/her segment(s) through BNP Paribas entities, in accordance with the Group’s rules of conduct applicable to relationships with suppliers:
  • Primarily by being personally in charge of major procurement projects
  • And by coaching/coordinating the actions of the Entity Buyers, in conjunction with the Entity CPOs
  • Supervises and monitors the supplier selection process within his/her segment(s)
  • For global procurement activities:
  • Communicates the results of his/her actions to the entities’ Purchasing teams (calls for tender, negotiations, process changes, etc.) and spends time with the entities’ Purchasing teams to facilitate the effective implementation of global supplier actions and contracts
  • Ensures and monitors the achievement and reporting of savings, in accordance with the rules of the Procurement Function within the Group relating to the calculation and reporting of procurement savings
  • Contributes to the development of the purchasing community within his/her segments
  • Contributes to cross-functional actions or projects across the categories or actions relating to the improvement of procurement processes or tools
  • Manages the supplier relationships in his/her segment(s):
  • Ensures the supplier relationship within his/her segment(s) in accordance with the Group’s rules of conduct
  • Acts as Key Supplier Manager for major key suppliers
  • Organises the delegation of local supplier relationship management to the Entity Purchasing teams, in accordance with the Group Purchasing Norms and Standards
  • Ensures the satisfaction of internal customers in terms of costs, quality, deadlines and service level, and implements corrective actions if needed
  • Monitors supplier risk, in accordance with the Applicable Procedures
