We are currently looking for an International Financial Reporting Controller (All Genders) based in Porto
BE PART OF OUR DYNAMIC INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CONTROL TEAM
International Financial Control from which the candidate will be an active contributor and full member, is in charge of the production of the financial statements, but not only, with a permanent care for transversality with the other departments or Services of the Accounting Division (e.g. France Accounting, Consolidation) or the other Finance Divisions of BNP PARIBAS CARDIF Group.
YOUR FUTURE MISSION in THE INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CONTROL TEAM

Ensure that the IFRS consolidation package is delivered within the fixed delays and in accordance with the applicable regulation and standards;

Guarantee the reliability of the reporting processes;

Reinforce the production of the various exhibits and financial appendices within the Group;

Guarantee a regular reporting on your activities to your team and Manager (IFC);
-
Contribute to the correct execution and the proper solving of complex reporting issues (incoming entities, mergers, and acquisitions, activities ceded…) during the quarterly reporting.
AS OUR NEW INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING CONTROLLER, YOU MUST HAVE:
- Knowledge of IFRS Standards, ideally for insurance, experience in the banking industry is a plus;
- 3 to 5 years in a financial accounting team, management controlling team or an accounting audit firm (Big 4) with the willingness to continue growing in that accounting and consolidation field;
- English (average to fluent), French is an asset; Adaptability and ability to collaborate;
- Motivated by new challenges, strive to be consistently learning and improving, efficiency and automatization’s oriented.

Your Main Activities Are
- Being part of the Securities Transfers Team, you are required to manage the daily tasks of the activity such as, and not exhaustively
- Supervising and supporting the team and activity

The position is a Market Risk Management Analyst Trainee role within RISK Market & Financial Institutions (“RISK MFI”) dedicated to the Credit Flow business line of Global Market.
The Credit Flow trading desk mandate is about market-making corporate bonds, Credit Default Swaps (CDS) or Asset-Backed Securities (ABS).
RISK MFI provides the Senior Management of the Group, of the RISK Function and of Corporate & Institutional Banking (“CIB”) with full transparency and dynamic analysis and monitoring of market, counterparty, liquidity risks originated and managed by CIB GM and of credit risks on Financial Institutions to assist them in their risk decision making and monitoring.
The Market Risk manager acts as the point of contact for the business line and provides a holistic view of the market risk of the activity. The market risk manager anticipates, detects, analyses, and provides an opinion on the market risk and issuer risk of the activity notably through early detection and in-depth review of the hidden risks.
On top, they regularly challenge the monitoring, tooling, and framework in place to monitor the market risk of the activity. This can involve designing and running stress-testing on the trading book positions.
We are looking for a profile who can rapidly develop knowledge into the Credit Flow activity and the market risk entails by it.
The role requires agility to onboard oneself onto new topics to support the analysis or monitoring conducted by other team members or stakeholders.

Within RISK, the Global Practice RISK IRC is in charge of the independent review of the credit, market, counterparty, insurance and operational risks as well as the RISK ORC function of RISK. Risk Independent Review (RISK IR) is the team responsible for the independent review of the risk measurement systems for the risks covered by RISK IRC. These reviews can take different forms (ex-ante / ex-post, driven by a regulatory objective or not, methodology / implementation) and are more or less exhaustive according to the subjects treated.
Within RISK IRC, the team Framework, Processes & Systems (FPS) is in charge of, among other things, the review of all the BNP Paribas Group’s processes and information systems (central and local) contributing to the measurement of credit, market or counterparty risks. The topics covered are as follows:
- Information systems and data quality:
- data supporting the modelling and run of credit risk models (e.g. PD, LGD and EAD), market (VaR, IRC) and counterparty (EEPE);
- Systems and processes dedicated to the production of the risk indicators and the computation of the Risk weighted assets;
- Internal and regulatory reporting: collection of risk data and production of reports, local and central processing during the reporting process;
- Reconciliation of accounting and risk data locally and centrally;
- Good application of the regulatory definitions and internal standards;
- Use of the internal rating systems;
- Governance and risk management.
Your Main Activities Are
- Guarantee applicability of regulatory standards, internal procedures, internal systems and compliance
- Performing review and analysis works, assessing risks for all types of risk measurement systems on the reviewed perimeter
- Issuing reports and proposing action plans or recommendations to the concerned RISK departments and beyond
- Performing in-depth independent reviews, in accordance with the following points:
- Doing independent reviews of the risk measurement systems of the BNP Paribas group (any country)
- Producing analyses related to the laws, regulations, procedures and existing practices
- Controlling the quality of the monitoring systems of the main risk families
- Writing reports and proposing action plans:
- Writing final reports
- Presenting the objectives of the review and its conclusions to the management
- Proposing remediation plans on the specific areas where weaknesses have been identified
- Controlling recommendations and justifications supporting their closure
- Comply with the Permanent Control Framework, defined within the team, and in accordance with the Group Procedures
- Assists management in planning the specific audit plan for the analysis works to be performed
- Lead the analysis works and advises and coaches other team members during the course of the reviews
- Coach and train other team members, sharing the accumulated experience and knowledge as a specialist
- Reviews other team members’ deliverables, assisting management in preparing high quality reports
