Within the RISK Operational Risk Management (RISK ORM) department, the Operational Risk Senior Officer contributes to the implementation of all the components of Operational Risk & Permanent Control Framework in BNP Paribas CIB activities, providing supervision over the 1st Line of Defence in terms of Operational Risk.

The department is responsible for independently challenging and supervising the Operational Risk management of CIB activities (Global Banking, Global Markets, Securities Services, Information Technology (IT), Operations and Functions) on a worldwide scope.

Your Main Activities Are

As a Transversal Tax Operational Risk Senior Officer (ORO) in RISK ORM CIB & Functions EMEA, you will: 

  • Supervise Transversal Tax processes that are part of RISK ORM supervision perimeter (tax watch, tax advice, tax audits / litigations and tax returns / payment) within CIB Tax departments in EMEA:
    • Liaise with different stakeholders involved in the Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF) implementation: Group Tax Department, RISK ORM and other Control Functions (Compliance, Finance & Strategy)
    • Ensure the alignment of the ORMF within CIB Tax departments with the Group standard 
    • Ensure the global coverage of Tax processes within CIB Tax departments (cartography, deployment follow-up, consolidation and reporting, …)
    • Oversee and challenge the Risk and Control Assessments (RCSA) performed by CIB Tax departments
    • Contribute to the deployment and consistency of second-level controls on transversal Tax processes across EMEA
    • Report on relevant risk issues on Transversal Tax processes under your supervision perimeter to the management 
  • Support CIB Business Lines and Functions OROs in EMEA in their LoD2 supervision on Tax processes and contribute to the governance in place for their perimeter

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Successful studies in economics, business administration, economics, engineering or similar subjects
  • Professional experience (>5 yrs) in an equivalent position or as internal control actor (Operational Permanent Controller in a Business Line or a Function, Audit / Inspection Générale)
  • Knowledge or relevant experience on main Finance and/or Tax specifics
  • Risk analysis, risk monitoring and risk decision
  • Flexibility combined with a sense of coordination, fast adaptability to changes and client focus

  • This role is part of the newly created Portfolio Management Oversight team, within RISK Corporate Securitisation, whose includes Credit Decision (in addition to SCOs), Independent Portfolio Analysis, Stress Testing & Management Information Reporting, 2nd LoD PM Check & Challenge of 1st LoD PM

Your Main Activities Are

  • Providing RISK oversight to the wind-down of legacy ABS Portfolios of the bank, which includes undertaking quarterly IFRS9 provisions committee reviews, provision analysis and recommendations in liaison with the Business contributors within CIB
  • Production of quarterly IFRS9 Cost of Risk computations & periodic stress testing
  • Contribution to stress testing of Risk Weighted Assets, for securitization positions
  • Prudential valuation and liquidity reserve computation
  • Other ad hoc roles defined from time to time
  • Over time, key responsibilities will shift towards portfolio management, which include the following:
    1. Monitoring of existing transactions, which include a critical look over transactions’ metrics and limits, identification of performance trends and seeking allocated analyst’s opinion to clarify any observed trend and/or breach of limits. This also includes the identification of key trends of the portfolio by asset class
    2. In terms of reporting to different stakeholders’, liaise with specialist of each asset class in order to obtain latest update for that asset class. With time and knowledge of the portfolio/market, be able to provide such comments. These comments and/or dashboards should be provided in a timely manner, in addition to being accurate and relevant for each stakeholder
    3. Regarding annual reviews of transactions, provide yearly calendar of annual reviews and be in constant contact with Business to prevent overdue annual reviews and proposals being delivered with sufficient time before deadline
    4. For quarterly portfolio reviews, be responsible, on RISK side, for the review of the materials sent by Business and identification of potential signs of deterioration and/or mistakes in data (and seek its correction if needed). In addition, person will be responsible for preparation of minutes of quarterly reviews’ meetings

  • The Senior Analyst in the Loan Trading Middle Office is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the trade support function for syndicated loan products. This role acts as a key liaison between Sales and Trading desks, external clients, and internal operations teams. Your Main Activities Are

VIE Operational Resilience Risk Analyst – Lisbonne – H/F 

Concrètement votre quotidien ? 

Vous rejoindrez le département Technology & Transversal Risks (TTR) Operational Resilience, de Risk Operational Risk Management (ORM) et vous apporterez votre soutien à la réalisation des objectifs de surveillance de la cybersécurité, de l’IT, des third-party et de la continuité des activités pour le Groupe BNP Paribas dans le monde entier. 

A ce titre, vous interagirez avec les principaux stakeholders de l’organisation au sein des équipes RISK et IT, et participerez à différents projets tels que l’analyse post-mortem des incidents IT et de cybersécurité, les évaluations techniques de différents sujets de gestion des risques et le soutien des programmes de transformation clés à l’échelle du groupe.

About the Job

  • The Business Manager will play a pivotal role in gathering, processing, and analyzing sustainable finance data to support internal reporting and strategic decision-making and keep track of sustainable finance market development. This position requires expertise in financial data platforms (e.g., Dealogic, Bloomberg) and a strong analytical mindset to drive insights within the EMEA region, alongside a pragmatic / problem-solving attitude. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with management, particularly in Sustainable Capital Markets Solutions and Global Markets Sustainability Office, and some of the GM’s Business Management teams, to ensure accurate data representation and knowledge-sharing , and provide actionable recommendations 

Your Main Activities

  • Sustainable Finance Market Analysis:
    1. Maintain and optimise transactions databases
    2. Lead trend analysis of sustainable finance markets (including beyond EMEA region) identifying opportunities and risks
    3. Deliver market update and knowledge-sharing materials (including weekly email newsletters and presentation materials)
    4. Monitor regulatory changes and industry developments to inform business strategies
  • Analysis of Key Investors Involved in Sustainable Finance:
    1. Maintain internal orderbook database for all primary activities
    2. When BNPP is B&D, help to develop a database / dashboard to identify (using SFDR classification) what are the funds with whom BNPP settles on behallf of issuers

  • ESG Ratings
    1. Monitor and analysis of the global trends from the main providers (MSCI / Sustainalytics) to help the business to identify key priorities
  • Data Validation & Reporting:
    1. Validate public data sources (e.g., Dealogic) to ensure BNP Paribas’s closed sustainable finance transactions are accurately reflected
    2. Collect, clean, and analyze data for internal reports, ensuring consistency and reliability
    3. Deliver weekly key business insights to Management on the status of EMEA transactions
  • Identify the BNP’s Sustainable Finance landmark transactions (including beyond EMEA region) and ensure their effective communication both internally and externally
  • Platform Expertise Development:
    1. Continuously enhance proficiency in Dealogic, Bloomberg, and other relevant key data tools/providers, particularly important for League Table reconciliation
