About the job
The Financial Specialist focusses on all management accounting aspects liaising if need be with central finance stakeholders and local management stakeholders. This will include a close follow-up on the 4 key major processes of the team: follow-up of actuals; animation and follow-up of budget and forecast exercise, follow-up of reinvoicing and assistance for the management report production.
Your Main Activities Are
- Implementation of the financial strategy
- Manage the relationship with the business lines and/or functions, coordinates improvement actions on the activities of the scope
- Use the professional expertise when directing the work of the team and/or support the works of any of the Finance and Tax teams, concerning the processes of the full Finance and Tax team and organizes the proper delivery in the quality and timeliness standards being production and BAU(business as usual) processes and specific project
- Follow-up the training need of the full team related to BAU processes and/or projects dedicated; contributing to the training of Finance Function employees
- Anticipates risk areas through the establishment, monitoring and updating of risk control processes and contributes to reliability projects and control processes
- Provides support for the resolution of complex topics
- Has a duty to promote cross-functionality between different areas of finance
- Contributes to transversal projects related to the transformation of the function, as such the specialist anticipates the transformation areas, informs and communicates to foster change within the team and with their clients and contributors
- Assist the CFO(Chief Financial Officer) and the Performance Management team in all management report contribution
- Assist the Performance Management in the implementation of the new matricial organisation: revision of main processes, ensure efficient and accuracy of tasks in a timely manner, assess capacity, develop control mindset, develop process harmonization both on the business portfolio axis and on the process axis
- Design, review, implement, update and maintain financial model for real estate cost of the territory in the context of the forecast, budget and then actuals exercise
- Produce all necessary control, analysis, reporting, presentation to support processes mention above: modelling and simulation; actuals review; forecast/budget review
Profile and Skills To Success
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or any similar areas
- At Least 10 years of experience on Financial Analysis and Advisory
- Fluency in English, both oral and written
- Experience using Microsoft Office Tools, particularly Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Great verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
- Reliability and capacity to deliver results with strict deadlines, polyvalent, flexible and able to adapt
- Expertise on finance and performance analysis
About the Team
The mission is to cover all aspects related to accounting, performance management, tax and invoicing in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring, among several other aspects, that BNP Paribas’ financial statements are in compliance with the Portuguese legislation, and providing support for management decisions. Besides the local business of the branch, the team provides a dedicated support to all the hosted services, namely in what concerns tax and tax invoicing
