  • The Principal Collateral Operations Officer processes the Net Present Value of the portfolio of trades between BNP Paribas and its counterparties on a daily (or as specified) basis and ensure that this exposure is sufficiently collateralised

Your Main Activities Are

  • Perform Data Quality analysis prior to issuing margin calls
  • Margin Call issuance and responding to incoming margin calls
  • Book eligible Credit Support (Free of Payment cash/ bonds / Tri-Party or repricing)
  • Dispute resolution through portfolio reconciliation
  • Execute payments and receipts of daily margin calls
  • Monthly interest settlements
  • Perform and respond to control reporting to ensure effective break/ fails and exception management
  • Establish correct contact details with main stakeholders around

  • The main mission of the Discretionary Portfolio Management (DPM) desk is to manage the portfolio of clients whom delegate to the bank the management of their assets. It provides high-end DPM services to wealthy, sophisticated and demanding private clients. Your Main Activities Are

  • The main mission of the DPM Junior analyst is to support the DPM Portfolio Managers from Switzerland and Luxembourg hubs, namely

  • As part of the 2025 strategic plan, Wealth Management (“WM”) has launched a major transformation to modernize its IT platform (the WITT Program).   • The FS Testing Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of the Wealth Management IT Transformation (Crystal / WITT) program by collaborating with relevant stakeholders. With a primary focus on the Financing Solutions (FS) department from BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Switzerland, this position will concentrate on key topics and tools. As the primary liaison between IT teams involved in WITT and FS teams, the IT Testing Specialist will realize important tasks and facilitate seamless communication and coordination

Your Main Activities Are

  • Testing And Quality Assurance
    • Collaborate with WITT and IT teams to prepare test cases that reflect functional and non-functional requirements for Specicred (Crystal project: replacement of workflow and monitoring tools used today by the FS teams: Primos, XMT) and WITT – ensuring that it meets all requirements and specifications

  • Securitised Products Group (SPG) in EMEA covers Asset-Backed Financings (ABF), Real Estate Owned and CMBS, Collateralised Loan Obligations (CLO) and Private Debt Financing. SPG works with Corporate and Institutional clients, to provide them with financing, risk transfer and capital markets access, through securitisation transactions across a range of asset classes

Your Main Activities Are

  • Credit Management of the SPG securitisation portfolio:
    • Understand and analyse the transactions’ structure, credit risk and profitability
    • Write and update credit memoranda for annual reviews, renewals, amendments and waivers; participate in credit committees
    • Update quarterly securitisation watchlist reports

  • Your role will be organized along 3 main axes: 
     
     Lisbon RISK ORM Network Functions and Transversal Activities (TA) implementation :
     You will act as key stakeholder in the build-up of RISK ORM Network Functions and TA locally and actively contribute to the implementation of the Operational Risk Management Framework based on local risk identification, in close cooperation with RISK ORM Network Functions and TA Paris team. 

Senior Operational Risk Officer 

  • As 2nd line of defense on your perimeter of supervision – which comprises all activities managed locally by Group Functions (Hubs), notably Compliance, Finance and Strategy, ITG Fresh, Performance & Procurement, Group Data Office – you will contribute to the deployment of the operational risk management system of this perimeter. You will notably: 
  • Help to drive change by participating in the implementation of major transformation programs, in particular when they are linked to a recommendation from the Supervisor or to compliance with a regulatory provision (e.g. project to monitor the execution and results of controls, Third Party Risk Management, Operational resilience) 
  • Ensure that regulations, standards, guidelines and methodologies relating to operational risk are understood and implemented over time within his business area/unit/perimeter (e.g. Risk and Control Self-Assessment [RCSA], check & challenge incidents, etc.) 
  • Perform second-level checks 
  • Conduct independent analyses 
  • Anchor the use of the Group’s operational risk management tools and associated reporting systems

Take part in crisis management following an operational incident 

  • Within the framework of associated governance and reporting (e.g. Internal Control Committee attended by the Head of the concerned entities under supervision; OR&C Report for the supervised activities and the related Group Functions), you will contribute to drawing up an overview of the operational risk profile of the Group Functions, including technological risks, for the attention of the local Heads of the Group Functions, the head of Territory , the ORO of the Group function concerned, the Heads of ORO Functions & TA and RISK ORM Network. 
  • On the basis of second-level controls and independent analyses carried out by the second line of defense, you will assess the robustness of the system put in place by the first line of defense (organization, procedural corpus, identification of processes and associated risks, robustness of the control framework put in place, management of incidents, permanent control actions, recommendations from the Inspection Generale, handling of exemptions, etc.), which may lead to permanent control actions where appropriate. 
  • You will provide qualitative and quantitative monitoring of historical incidents, including analysis of the most significant incidents and supervision of the associated action plans. 
  • You will help strengthen the second line of defense against technological risks, given the growing role of technology in the Group’s operational processes, and the need to ensure that technological risks, as operational risks, are effectively covered. In close relation with the Group Function ICT Expert and RISK ORM ORO ICT teams. 

Transversal analysis 

  • As a member of RISK ORM Network Functions and TA team, you will contribute to transversal activities and projects if and when required.
     
     
     

Profile and Skills to Success

  • You can justify of a previous experience of 10 years minimum on a similar role or in an internal control capacity (Operational Permanent Controller, Internal Audit / Inspection Générale) or in Operations environment. You can structure and conduct an audit, you have knowledge about regulatory banking organization, and you have IT knowledge. 
  • You have an excellent knowledge of operational processes, and you speak fluently English. French, Spanish and/or Portuguese proficiency is a plus. 
  • Autonomy, rigor and strong communication & organizational skills are key to be successful in this role. In addition, you should have demonstrated flexibility, adaptation to change and client-oriented mind from previous experiences.

About the Team

  • The team is composed of 5 employees locally and reports functionally to the Global Head of RISK ORM Network Functions & Transversal Activities (based in Paris) and locally to the Head of Global RISK ORM ibCoE (Iberian Centre of Excellence). 
     
     In the context of increasing transfer of Group Functions activities to Iberian regional hubs (Lisbon, Madrid), RISK ORM Network Functions & TA is extending its local presence with the objective to both supervise local processes and contribute to transversal risk analysis.   • The position is a Data Officer Analytics Trainee role within RISK Market & Financial Institutions (“RISK MFI”) dedicated to the development and industrialization for the Valuation Model Risk team. 

    The RISK MFI Valuation Model Risk (VMR) team is the RISK team responsible for the second line of defense on valuation models within Global Markets. This therefore includes independent review and control of all models used for the generation of official daily P&L and risks. The team furthermore acts as a center of quantitative expertise within RISK MFI. Within the work of the VMR team, multiple tools and python scripts are used for monitoring, investigation and analysis. The industrialization and robustness of these tools and scripts are needed to reduce time and operational risk on the work delivered by the team. 

    This internship is particularly suited for a student or fresh graduate that has good python programming skills and is interested in developing skills in financial mathematics or stochastic calculus.

    We are looking for a profile who can rapidly develop knowledge into the internal tools used to extract information and awareness of the work done by the team. 

    The role requires agility to onboard oneself onto new topics to support the team on their projects and quickly start contributing.

Your Main Activities Are

  • Analyze, re-engineer processes and implement in Python to harmonize such processes, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risk related to existing practices.
  • Improve risk insight by making better use of data and improved visualizations.

Department Overview:

BNPP Group Personal Data Protection framework, defined to respond to applicable privacy regulations throughout BNPP territories, relies on the accountability of teams within BNPP entities in their processing of Personal Data (customer, employees, UBOs, representatives of corporate, vendors, etc.)

Data Protection Office (DPO) is part of the RISK Department within BNP Paribas, positioned in the 2nd Line of Defence. Integrated within the Iberian Centre of Excellence, the DPC must assist the Business Line DPO and contribute to supervise the compliance with data protection regulations and Group policies and guidelines, oversighting/ensure the control framework, and give the necessary guidance/advice to support the 1st Line of Defence.

Mission and Responsibilities

As the second line of defence, you will ensure the robustness of the Personal Data Protection and Operational Risk and Permanent Control (ROPC) framework and its alignment with the Group’s standards through the main following actions:

  • Contribute to role development by validating data protection requirements for new activities, new products, services or specific operations, and to carry technical assistance
  • Ensure data protection requirements are taken into account into projects (privacy by design)   
  • Receive, process and advise internal and external local solicitations about data protection
  • Contribute to perform risk assessment on personal data breaches  
  • Risk & Control Self-Assessment review and control plan challenge (regarding Privacy risks)
  • Check & challenge the Data Protection and Privacy control framework to ensure the relevance and proper execution of the controls implemented/executed by the 1st Line of Defence (business, IT, data management, etc)
  • Assess and advise the incidents with impact/linked with Data Protection and Privacy risks
  • Verify and assess the implementation of recommendations and action plans to mitigate Privacy risks, notably identified by internal assessments (internal audit, control functions) or external supervision missions (regulators).

Experience Required:

  • More than 3 years of effective professional experience combined with at least one successful experience in a position related to internal control (e.g. DPC, Privacy leader, Operational Permanent Control Officer, Auditor, or other)
