Your Main Activities Are

  • Under the responsibility of the local Financial Controller Team Leader based in Lisbon Office, the Financial Controller Senior Officer will perform the following activities
    • Actual monthly closing and Budget processes
      • Contribute for the production of the management control reporting
      • Consolidate financial and non-financial information from the sites of Wealth Management (WM)
      • Upload/Retrieve financial information from and into Management control tools
      • Perform controls on data received
      • Perform analysis to the results and any other ad-hoc request
      • Establish regular contacts with the sites / Head Office to ensure data reception and loading
      • Ensure data quality through control execution on data received from sites
    • Other activities
      • Contribute actively to internal control set up (update procedures and operating manuals)
      • Preparation of the necessary information and analysis to support the Management (presentations, analysis files)
      • Continuous improvement of the team’s processes

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management or Economy
  • At least 3 years of Experience in Audit, Management Control or in a Financial Reporting role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Pack (MS Excel)

The Continuous Improvement Coach/Trainer role is similar to an internal consultant role, and it provides an excellent foundation of knowledge to take on other key roles in our organisation in the future. The role is based in Lisbon, but some overseas travel may be required at times according to business needs.

Your Main Activities Are

As part of the team, the Continuous Improvement Coach/Trainer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Lead training and coaching initiatives using Continuous Improvement Programme approach and tools

    • The Cash Account Manager is the privileged interlocutor of clients to follow-up their cash accounts. This follow-up is taking into consideration client needs to optimise their treasury and ensuring the correct processing of their cash transactions
    • To be part of a team working towards a common goal, following procedures and work organization, Cash Account managers will have to deal with several departments and interact with different activities, providing the possibility to expand the knowledge of all team members

    • Process client instructions by analysing, validating and implementing those instructions.

Your Main Activities Are

  • Organize the Compliance function and be the compliance contact person for the management, business representatives and internal stakeholders within Factoring Entities in Portugal and Spain
  • Undertaking actions to develop a strong Compliance culture 
  • Acting as the Money Laundering Reporting officer (with the help of Compliance Territory where needed)

About the Team 

  • The Lisbon-based Structured Products Sales is part of a global sales workforce in charge of selling tailor-made investments solutions (Structured Products and Derivatives Products) to clients used to trade standardized products on a reverse inquiry mode. Within a fast-paced and stressful environment, he is in charge of promoting the firm’s brand, products and services to existing clients. The range of products is large and will include both Equities or Fixed Income underlyings. Clients are diverse as well, and may range from large financial institutions to private and retail banks as well as smaller asset managers or family offices. On top of the main mission of managing the heavily operational day-to-day, he will also have to help the bank scale by focusing on automation and transformation projects
  • The team in Lisbon is organized in sub-scopes, each servicing different Sales desks across the different geographies of the Global Markets franchise.   • The Corporate Trust Operations Officer is responsible for analysing and integrating missing data in the systems, performing the consequent controls according to the procedures in place and ensuring that SLAs are met

    • The Cash Account Manager is the privileged interlocutor of clients to follow-up their cash accounts. This follow-up is taking into consideration client needs to optimise their treasury and ensuring the correct processing of their cash transactions
    • To be part of a team working towards a common goal, following procedures and work organization, Cash Account managers will have to deal with several departments and interact with different activities, providing the possibility to expand the knowledge of all team members

Your Main Activities Are

    • Process client instructions by analysing, validating and implementing those instructions.
    • Check and monitor failed instructions and provide the correct update to clients, including follow-up on client’s instructions blocked by teams working in Credit Risk
    • Identify and advise on any exceptional or irregular situations, and put in place corrective measures in line with management validation
    • Manage email inboxes, phone calls and follow-up of requests from clients or internal teams
    • Extract the relevant information from systems and perform proper reconciliation of all details, while verifying documentation received and forwarding to relevant processing team (when applicable)
