  • The Resource & Portfolio Management (RPM) Team is part of the Securitised Product Group (SPG), which combines all securitisation and other risk distribution activities within Global Banking EMEA – Capital Markets

We are currently looking for a Business Controller – Management Control (All Genders) based in Porto

BE PART OF OUR MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING & CONTROL TEAM

Within our Management Control team, you will contribute directly to the day-to-day management of various tasks with multiple interlocutors within the Financial Production and Financial Control and Performance departments. You will support the BNP Paribas Group’s business lines and functions in understanding and managing the financial management of their activities.

YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING & CONTROL TEAM

Throughout the various Budget, Update and Closing phases, you will prepare and monitor the constitution of the result in terms of management vision according to the various applicable standards.

By working in a central department, you will be at the forefront of participating in the transformation of BNP Paribas Cardif.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Participate in the closing process and bring a critical look to the figures reported. Thus, you will ensure their consistency by carrying out the required controls and carry out the necessary analyses to monitor their evolution;
  • Understand how the result is constructed and how operations are translated into accounting in terms of multi-standards;
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of the budget: production of reports, participation in budget and forecast dashboards for the management and the financial department;
  • Participate in tool evolution projects (Power BI, SSAS, Python, Tagetik, etc.) as well as in transformation projects; 
  • Carry out various studies and analyses on ad-hoc topics and themes at the request of management.

AS OUR NEW BUSINESS CONTROLLER, YOU MUST HAVE:

    • An experience of minimum 3 years in a similar position
    • A prior experience in banking, insurance or a consulting firm would be an asset for the position
    • You also know how to immerse yourself in data and the tools to dissect it, while being able to take a step back on subjects through your critical eye and challenge your interlocutors. 
    • You are proficient in as Excel (advanced functions). Knowledge of SAP, Access, Tagetik, VBA and BI tool is a plus

Vous intégrerez la Direction Client au sein du département Flux financiers et plus particulièrement le service Analyse des Comptes. Vous aurez l’opportunité de travailler avec l’ensemble des départements de cette Direction, mais aussi avec la Direction financière (Comptabilités). L’activité consistera à analyser au quotidien les écritures bancaires non rapprochées afin de les apurer et produire mensuellement les rapprochements bancaires du portefeuille de comptes qui vous sera confié. Vous contrôlerez sur le périmètre confié, la qualité des décaissements manuels et automatiques produits la veille. Enfin vous contribuerez à la production trimestriels des travaux d’arrêtés.

Le(a) Chargé(e) de Comptes de Flux Financiers ADC est responsable de la gestion des flux financiers en termes de :

  • Within Finance & Strategy function, Finance Implementation Projects – FIP teams: Lead the end-to-end implementation of business and regulatory projects by responding to Business Line and Finance requirements; Contribute to transformation initiatives according to the Finance strategy; Implement and maintain a harmonized Finance operating model across BNPP Group; Contribute to migration projects relying on the regional set up in Europe, Asia, and Americas; Collaborate with a FIP community worldwide, ensuring a consistent approach of the Finance projects across the geographies

Your Main Activities Are

  • Analyze the requirements from Business Line or Finance (depending on the nature of the project) based on the framing note of the FIP Project Manager
  • Perform technical gap analysis and technical impact study in order to contribute to the framing note delivered by FIP Project Manager
  • Collaborate with FIP Business Analyst to organize and manage meetings/workshops with stakeholders within Finance project team, Business Lines, IT, Finance end users to design the technical solution of the project respecting methodology and standards
  • Document the technical specifications of the solution to be set up in the financial accounting interpretor
  • Parametrize accounting and reporting rules, according to the standards in terms of norms and systems
  • Contribute to the testing strategy to ensure the quality of the implementation of the project
  • Carry out all unitary tests and integration tests of the project
  • Ensure an aftercare support for Finance end users after delivery of the solution
  • Support Project Managers and Business Analysts in implementing project outcomes and follow up outcomes with stakeholders

    • The Settlement Processing Analyst works within the Securities Transaction Management Department and is responsible for the processing of the main processes which include pre & post settlement activities, clearing, relevant legal documentation, transaction and event-related accounting for securities deemed in scope.
