  • The Finance & Strategy function (F&S) ensures, for the BNP Paribas Group, the production and publication of accounting and financial management statements necessary for the management of the Group, financial and tax optimization along with the external growth strategy. It also plays an alert role vis-à-vis of the General Management
  • The Infinity EMEA Finance & Strategy Platform is the Regional EMEA Mutualized platform and Group platform delivering services that covers the whole financial dimension: Accounting production activities, reporting, control, transformation projects, IT and GDO. Your Main Activities Are

  • Sit with FIP staff and your colleagues from FIP Standards team and go through all the steps of the current process to get familiarized with the As-Is situation
  • Identity automation opportunities and draft the overall high-level design of an automated procedure that would be developed first by you and later by Finance IT
  • Implement the desired automated procedure with the inputs of FIP staff and deliver a working tool that the staff can use in waiting for the Finance IT solution (any solution can be used, including Power Query, Power BI, Knime, Alteryx, Python, Blue Prism, etc.)
  • Document the business rules agreed and implemented in the prototype and communicate them to Finance IT
  • Interact efficiently with Finance IT so that the tools developed by you can be industrialized by Finance IT
  • Coach FIP staff on using the prototype developed by you and other advanced desktop tools functions (excel, power query, power bi) so that they are more efficient in their day-to-day work

You will join the Operational Permanent Controller – France (OPC France) team who is in charge of supporting production teams in executing and formalizing first line of defense controls, especially the riskiest parts of processes, to certify and secure Data & Accounting operating tasks.

YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE OPC TEAM

As OPC – France, you will have several missions whose main objective is to guarantee that the set of controls deployed by Data & Accounting teams are compliant and in line with expectations of Finance Control teams (second line of defense). A good relationship with all stakeholders is key and necessary to avoid, anticipate and/or explain potential operational risks.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure that the French and IFRS France controls are produced and delivered in due time to Cardif Management and to Finance Control teams as well as in accordance with the applicable regulations and standards:  
  • Prepare and produce the quarterly synthesis of controls performed by Data & Accounting teams in France;
  • Guarantee the strict respect of the reporting deadlines.
  • Carry out analysis´ reviews to better understand and closely monitor the control process put in place in France. 
  • Assist and provide training sessions for the stakeholders involved;
  • Adapt the set of controls following norms, guidelines or process/business evolutions.
  • Ensure the go between with production and Finance Control teams.
  • Guarantee a continuous reporting and communication on your tasks and activities to your manager and team.

AS OUR NEW OPERATIONAL PERMANENT CONTROLLER YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor´s degree in Management, Accounting, Finance or any other related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in Accounting, Risk, Internal Control, Audit or Compliance, preferably in the Insurance sector;
  • Understanding of internal control frameworks, audit techniques and operational compliance applicable to your scope
  • Fluency in English (B2 level minimum). Fluency in French would be a big advantage

  • The Securities Trade Support Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless processing and validation of securities transactions across multiple asset classes, including bonds, equities, repos, securities lending/borrowing, and loan trading. Integrated in the Global Iberian Centre of Excellence, the candidate will be responsible for supporting RISK ORM management in the development and implementation of the ICT risk management framework. 

Your Main Activities Are

As ICT Operational Risk Officer, the candidate will be responsible to contribute to the following topics:

Framework: to assist in the review, analysis and challenge of the ICT risk management framework, and particularly the norms & standards, consistent with RISK ORM guidelines, and validate any exemption to these norms & standards, namely in the ICT Risk and Control plans definition.

Risk Identification & Assessment: to challenge and verify the first line of defence (1LoD) risk identification, ensure the consistency of potential incidents quantification, conduct independent ICT risk assessments (incident review, post mortem analysis), and validate closure of permanent control actions (controls implemented by 1LoD).

Risk Decision & Treatment: to assist in the supervision of the risk treatment process (risk acceptance, risk transfer, risk remediation) performed by the BNP Paribas Entities and their Departments and/or to produce opinions on the ICT risk exposure with RISK ORM and 1LoD Management. To oversee the definition of the risk mitigation action plans and the implementation of the correlated recommendations.

Control testing: to conduct independent testing and challenge 1LoD (IT and operations) controls and oversee/perform 2LOD tests/vulnerability scans when required.

Risk management planning: to assist in the identification of the main ICT risks priorities, clarify/ define the approach to perform the work aligned with BNP Paribas framework, manage relationships with stakeholders, and ensure the completion of deliverables as agreed.

Risk Reporting, Monitoring & Alert: to support BNP Paribas Management and the RISK stakeholders on incidents and crisis management (e.g. security events, data leakage); to alert on critical points for attention to be raised to RISK Management.

Awareness / Training / Animation: to assist in promoting and driving awareness on ICT risks; to assist in organising risk meetings, forums and committees with community members.

Profile and Skills to Success

The successful candidate will need to have previous experience in implementing risk management programs and/or working in an internal/external ICT assessment function within a reputed consultancy/global organisation, with robust knowledge of technology, risks, architectures and related tools. Prior ICT risk experience (IT, Cyber, Vendor management etc.), exposure to the Financial Services industry, experience with GRC tools and other risk management information systems is preferred.  

Negotiation, conflict management and presentation skills are necessary. The individual will assist in the preparation/contribution to the development of BNP Paribas RISK ORM ICT independent testing controls and conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessment independent re-testing and validation on 1LoD set up and performed controls. Experience interacting with regulatory agencies is a plus.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

•    > 6 years of experience specifically in technology risk assessments 

•    Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Information Security, Business or Risk Management (or equivalent professional qualification)
