- The KYC Screening Officer’s objective is to contribute to the overall client’s assessment in terms of KYC, mainly to perform background checks on BNP Paribas’ clients and potential clients, looking into adverse media and also Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) and Sanctions database

About the job
- Since 2015, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has a competences center in Lisbon, the Portugal International Markets Hub (“PIMH”). This center manages certain activities for the International Markets (“IM”) sites of BNPPWM namely Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and Monaco
- BNPP Wealth Management operations teams are currently growing in Portugal, and this is a very interesting opportunity to join the growing PIMH family as a CORPORATE ACTIONS (Mandatory) Senior Officer
- The Corporate Actions team is responsible for the booking and management of corporate actions on securities and funds, on the portfolios of the clients
Your Main Activities Are
- Analyze and manage corporate actions events received from the market in the system or via email and process the respective payments in client’s account
- Manage corporate actions letters for clients
- Chase of the custodians and internal teams for the resolution of payments’ discrepancies.
- Follow up and resolution of the pending cash and securities items with the reconciliations teams
- Manage emails received by other stakeholders
- Guarantee the allocation of the corporate actions in securities and funds within the system
- Ensure the activity controls allocated are properly done, with rigor and according to the procedures
- Manage breaks and ensure they are identified and the justified more detailed and accurate as possible
- Ensure that all evidence is kept in the proper folders, available for permanent control
- Ensure cash and securities positions reconciliations with the extractions we have from our internal system
- Ensure cash/stock outstanding are properly justified and all the necessary actions are taken on duly time to close them

- Bachelor degree
- At least 3 years of Experience in Banking & Financial Services
- Experience with MT Swift messages
- Knowledge in Securities operations and custody
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)

About the job
- Acknowledge and follow up all requests from clients, either for relief at source or reclaim purpose, create and prepare fiscal documentation whenever enhanced offer is in place for such clients and perform the necessary validations on the system and if applicable, communicate it to our custodian network. Assure that clients receive their payments or reclaim refunds according to the eligible market rules and their instructions

In practice, your day-to-day
- As a Senior Data Scientist in the Scoring Center team, you will undertake projects to build risk prediction models. Your main responsibilities will be:
- As part of your modelling projects, you assess the needs expressed, define and propose the adapted deliverables and estimate their burden and time frame through an implementation plan that takes into account the challenges and constraints. You use statistical modelling methods such as Logistic Regression, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, analyze and explain the results;
- You lead the project, keep track of the schedule and support the implementation and monitoring of the tools issued;
- As part of the monitoring and optimization of the BNP Paribas Personal Finance score models, you participate in the monitoring campaigns of the scores: generation and analysis of monitoring results, diagnosis and action plan;
- You are also responsible for conducting and analyzing statistical studies related to risk prediction models. If necessary, you take part in analytical support missions to the Group’s international entities and in the processing of audit recommendations relating to the Basel regulatory project;
- In addition, you actively contribute to the transversal missions of the Scoring Center: technological and methodological watch, regulatory watch, training, analytical support for the Group’s international entities.

- Do you have a Degree in Mathematics or Statistics?
- Do you have previous and relevant experience, minimum of two years, in modelling within financial environment for granting, behavioral, fraud or regulatory?
- Do you recognize the importance of connecting model’s outcomes with the business and the stakeholders, and the need for explainability?
- Can you conduct a modeling project?
- Are you proficient in modelling environment or data lab and have a strong knowledge of the main data science libraries such as Python?
- Are you able to work on several projects in parallel and are acknowledge for your accuracy?
- Are you fluent in oral and written English?
