About the job

  • The KYC Controller’s primary focus is to act as the first level of control in reviewing, advising and validating on KYC (Know Your Client) due diligence assessment of prospective and existing clients. The KYC Controller is also accountable for ensuring all relevant stakeholders sign-offs

Your Main Activities Are
  • Perform data control and KYC file review: Validates correct data entry into the KYC tools based on the due diligence conducted and controls documentation format and content, to ensure adherence to due diligence guidelines
  • Refers to relevant team members and/or managers to highlight data inconsistency and suggest methods of resolution. In addition, identifies root causes impacting the quality and the trainings needs
  • Ensures high standard of quality in the KYC files in adherence to the bank’s policies and procedures. Additionally, acts as a subject matter expert to support KYC Due Diligence team. Implements new policies, procedures and communications from Compliance and Global Coordination and Support
  • Ensures timely escalation and owns proposed course of actions to line management to address identified risks and blocking points during such processes
  • Overviews the full client KYC file analysis, to ensure completeness and consistency before validation steps, substantiating the KYC review with a factual based-analysis
  • Ensures all processes executed during the final overview of the KYC files are delivered per predefined guidelines
  • Contribute to KPIs regarding quality (quality review including review of Compliance review results) and produce reports on the controls results performed and areas of improvement identified
  • Monitors decision and follow-up: Arranges, prepares and documents Client Acceptance Committee (CAC) towards the final approval for the KYC file. Also, coordinates CAC meeting
  • Liaises with Compliance, relationship managers and other senior stakeholders for KYC approval
  • Coordinates with KYC teams in other Corporate and Institutional Banking locations in order to streamline the multisite KYC approval process for client on-boarding and recertification. Ensures the completeness of the conditions

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Academic Degree in either Law, Economics or Financial & Accounting
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in KYC or Compliance

  • RISK Operational Risk Management (RISK ORM) steers and reports on the Group’s Operational Risk Management framework and status, in close collaboration with the concerned Functions. Your Main Activities

  • The selected individual will assist in overseeing and strengthening the Crisis Management framework supporting BNPP vital services.   • In Lisbon, the team is already responsible for Risk & Finance Analytics (RFA) data warehouse administration & support, for the entity BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions (LS)
  • RFA is a data warehouse for Risk, Finance and Asset Liability Management (ALM) data required for internal, regulatory and BNP Paribas Group reporting (ALM, FINREP, liquidity, risk reports, etc.), with reconciliation, controls and archiving / backup functionalities. Moreover, it is part of Business Intelligence applications with evolution projects
  • Furthermore, Information Technology Transversal & Functions (ITT&F) team also manages Risk Finance Calculator (RFC), the Risk Finance Calculator linked to RFA and computing the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) 9 stage & Risk parameters (Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD), Gross Risk Rate (GRR)) and watch list indicators
  • The last part of the LS reporting chain transferred to Lisbon is the administration and monitoring of all the reporting interfaces (International Reporting (IR) 2X), developed through SAS to produce the different dataflow / reports in Group direction or other contributors

  • IT Transversal & Functions is a large organization within Information Technology Group, in charge of building and delivering solutions and applications for the main functions of the group BNP Paribas. ITT&F covers IT landscape and drives IT strategy for 14 functions, operates in more than 10 locations across 3 regions, embraces a community of 2500 people, and manages a portfolio of more than 350 applications
  • ITT&F is aiming to answer to an evolving environment where more topics are transversal and impacting more than one single Function.
