- The Settlement Processing Analyst works within the Securities Transaction Management Department and is responsible for the processing of the main processes which include pre and post settlement activities, clearing, relevant legal documentation, transaction and event-related accounting for securities deemed in scope. In the scope of these activities, the Officer interacts with several internal departments, external counter parties and entities
Your Main Activities Are
- Responsible for the settlement of client transactions on a timely and cost effective basis, monitoring, analysing and processing client’s instruction data
- Develop a deep knowledge of the market requirements, internal processes and tools
- Ensure market information databases and internal procedures are known and updated
- Ensure that the checklist’s tasks are duly executed, in line with internal procedures and market rules and/or guidelines therefore mitigating settlement costs and operational risk
- Communicate effectively with Client Facing team and provide support on the daily activities, ensuring a close follow-up on any pending investigation
- Contribute to the overall successful running of the Settlement Department whilst respecting BNP Paribas rules and guidelines in terms of Compliance, Risk and Conduct

Your Main Activities

It comprises different roles such as syndicate, debt capital markets, trading, sales, structuring and desk analysts
- Within Primary Markets, DCM Marketers manage and own the commercial relationship with Issuer clients, and are responsible for originating mandates for public and privately placed bond issuances across currencies, Syndicate Officers manage the execution of new primary bond issuances, with DCM Solutions teams provide product-specific structuring expertise in areas such as liability management, capital solutions, and sustainable capital markets

- Analysis of counterparty risk metrics:

- The Securities Operations Support Analyst works within the Securities Settlement Department and performs the operational and quality controls, reporting, finance related tasks and support to main processes which include pre and post settlement activities, clearing, custody, relevant legal documentation, transaction and event-related accounting for securities deemed in scope
Your Main Activities Are
- Responsible to compile data using statistical tools to produce monthly reports on KPI, activity/volumes/general Department performance

- This role is part of the newly created Portfolio Management Oversight team, within RISK Corporate Securitisation, whose includes Credit Decision (in addition to Securitisation Credit Officers (SCOs), Independent Portfolio Analysis, Stress Testing and Management Information Reporting, Second Line of Defence (2LOD) Portfolio Manager (PM) Check and Challenge of First Line of Defence (1LOD) PM
Your Main Activities Are
- Providing RISK oversight to the wind-down of legacy Asset Backed Securities (ABS) Portfolios of the bank, which includes undertaking quarterly International Financial Reporting Standard 9 (IFRS9) provisions committee reviews, provision analysis and recommendations in liaison with the Business contributors within Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB)
- Production of quarterly IFRS9 Cost of Risk computations and periodic stress testing
- Contribution to stress testing of Risk Weighted Assets, for securitization positions
- Prudential valuation and liquidity reserve computation
- Other ad hoc roles defined from time to time
- Over time, key responsibilities will shift towards portfolio management, which include the following
- Monitoring of existing transactions, which include a critical look over transactions’ metrics and limits, identification of performance trends and seeking allocated analyst’s opinion to clarify any observed trend and/or breach of limits. This also includes the identification of key trends of the portfolio by asset class
- In terms of reporting to different stakeholders’, liaise with specialist of each asset class in order to obtain latest update for that asset class. With time and knowledge of the portfolio/market, be able to provide such comments. These comments and/or dashboards should be provided in a timely manner, in addition to being accurate and relevant for each stakeholder
- Regarding annual reviews of transactions, provide yearly calendar of annual reviews and be in constant contact with Business to prevent overdue annual reviews and proposals being delivered with sufficient time before deadline
- For quarterly portfolio reviews, be responsible, on RISK side, for the review of the materials sent by Business and identification of potential signs of deterioration and/or mistakes in data (and seek its correction if needed). In addition, person will be responsible for preparation of minutes of quarterly reviews’ meetings
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics / Finance / Accounting / Mathematics / Statistics or related
- At least 3 years of experience in Financial Analysis / Advisory or similar
- Advanced level of English, both written and oral
- Knowledge in MS Office Pack (Excel, PowerPoint) and IFRS9 and provisions computations

- Experience evaluating credit quality of corporate borrowers, special‑purpose vehicles (SPVs) and/or asset‑backed structures (ABS, CLO, RMBS, CMBS, BTL)

Become our new Internal Control Analyst based in Porto
Be part of our dynamic International Financial Performance Oversight (IFPO) team! Within the international markets finance perimeter, you will elaborate and optimize the financial risks management through the deployment / update of the second line of defense internal control framework, in accordance with the existing regulations and BNP Paribas Group Finance / Risk internal control guidelines.
YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE IFPO TEAM
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Contribute to the efficiency of the finance activities and controls of the international entities’ finance departments, by performing check & challenge review missions, issuing recommendations and proposing action plans;
- Coordinate and oversee the management of the Finance second line of defense teams on the international markets’ perimeter;
- Contribute to the optimization of the financial risks management through the deployment / update of the second line of defense internal control framework. - Ensure the review (following a risk-based approach) of the finance processes in order to identify, follow-up, and assess financial risks;
