Become our new Business Controller based in Porto
Be part of our dynamic Management Control team, where you will contribute directly to the day-to-day management of various tasks with multiple interlocutors within the Financial Production and Financial Control and Performance departments. You will support the BNP Paribas Group’s business lines and functions in understanding and managing the financial management of their activities.
YOUR FUTURE MISSION IN THE MANAGEMENT CONTROL TEAM
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Participate in the closing process and bring a critical look to the figures reported. Thus, you will ensure their consistency by carrying out the required controls and carry out the necessary analyses to monitor their evolution
- Understand how the cost part of the P&L is constructed and how operations are translated into accounting in terms of multi-standards
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the budget: production of reports, participation in budget and forecast dashboards for the management and the financial department

- The Finance Capital Markets Products Officer mission is to measure, control and explain the financial reporting of the Region’s entities, covering a large part of BNP Paribas Business Lines. About the job
- The Regulatory Officer within the Regulatory Reform and Client Communication (R2C2) mission consists in supporting new regulations’ implementation with clients and internal reach out campaigns. - Finance Implementation Projects (FIP), a team within the COO (Chief Operating Office) of Finance, ensures the end-to-end implementation of business and regulatory projects. Department Overview
The mission of RISK is to provide Senior Management of the Group and of the Operating Divisions, with full transparency and dynamic analysis of the risk and clients managed by Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) and Investment Solutions (IS) business units.

RISK Systems team is part of RISK. About the job
Operations team is in charge of functional support on market and counterparty risk systems of the bank. The team in Portugal is focusing in particular on the quality aspects of the data that feeds those systems: ensuring data quality issues are resolved, putting in place meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) about data quality, reviewing and improving existing processes and KPIs, and assisting on the preparation of material for committees where those KPIs are discussed.
The mission of Operations team is met by:

The role is for a position within the Operations team in Porto, Portugal.
Your main activities are
The successful candidate will be expected to fulfil the role of a data analytics officer as follows:
- Work on Data quality aspects, putting in place Key Performance and monitoring Indicators about the availability and quality of the data in our systems, and maintaining these KPIs.
- Investigate issues detected by those KPIs and help to resolve them permanently.
- Build close links with risk analysts and other internal RISK Systems clients
- As part of an Agile team, proactively contribute to the team’s deliveries while also keeping a strong link with the colleagues that work on the same topics.
- Provide training and guidance to new users of the system where required
Profile and Skills to Success
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, IT or related field
Computing Skills Required:
- Fluency with all MS Office tools
- Strong technical skills with Excel. Python and SQL are a strong plus
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
- Knowledge on main financial products such as Stocks, Bonds, Swaps, etc are a strong plus.
- Knowledge on risk management metrics such as Value at Risk or Expected shortfall are a strong plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as IRC/CRM, DRC, FRTB, FBL and Volcker rule are appreciated
- Knowledge in SQL required.
- Knowledge in Python is appreciated
- Knowledge of Agile framework is appreciated.
Languages:
- English mandatory
- Portuguese (or French) appreciated but not mandatory.

- Credit Portfolio Analysis (CPA) team is in charge of analyzing the quality and dynamics of the credit portfolio, including among others: cost of risk, portfolios under Risk Appetite Statement envelope, ESG and sensitivity analysis
- The team is working in close coordination with the RISK practitioners and businesses, and coordinates credit-related committees/forums such as the CIB Credit Portfolio Committee
