About the job
- Responsibilities include setting up and running quantitative risk controls on FX and derivatives, focusing on market risk and its consequences for the client and bank’s books, on potential credit exposure and commercial relationships
- Additionally, the Market Risk Manager is responsible for ensuring the data quality of the metrics produced to monitor such risks and to participate to the continuous improvements of the monitoring, analysis and reporting framework of such metrics
- Depending on business pipeline the Market Risk Manager will also be involved on developing the range of FX products offered to clients and improve related processes front-to-back
Your Main Activities Are
- Main contact point within the Investment Services (IS) department on forex spot/forwards, complex derivatives, money market in coordination with Financing Solutions and Relationship Managers (RMs)
- Monitor and report market metrics, key sensitivities and stress tests
- Analyse, review, report and escalate breaches of market risk limits and investigate limit excess events in accordance with the relevant limit procedures
- Main contact point on the tool MarginMan especially vis a vis RISK for market risk and model risk in close coordination with Forex Execution & Advisory Desk and Financing Solutions as well as RMs
- Running controls developed in Python as requested by RISK (PV, stressed PV)
- Participation and contribution to the quarterly committee following derivatives
- Participate to WITT project on money market, FX and derivatives in coordination with Product Owners, and potential upcoming transformation and other types of projects that have or will have an impact on this product range as well as its respective setup
Profile and Skills to Success
- Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance and Accounting
- At least 5 years of Experience in Banking and Financial Operations, Derivatives, Market Risk, Data Analytics
- Knowledge of Financial Markets – Forex
- Knowledge of Market Risk
- Knowledge in Visual Basic, Python and SQL
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Pack (Excel)
- Fluency in English
- Ability to share/pass on knowledge
- Communication skills
- Attention to detail/rigor
- Analytical Ability
