About the job

  • The Finance Capital Markets Products Supervisor mission is to measure, control and explain the financial reporting of the Region’s entities, covering a large part of BNP Paribas Business Lines, which encompasses research, structuring, trading and sales of equity, index and fund derivatives. Within the EMEA Finance organization, is also responsible for ensuring an accurate, reliable and comprehensive set of segmented financial data required for the production of all Reporting streams in relation with Capital Markets Business Lines

Your Main Activities Are

  • Ensure the accounting control level one on a dedicated perimeter of products within your team: Ensure proper justification(s) on all accounting control(s), among which: reconciliation with Ops data inventory; reconciliation of sensitives accounts; Analyse breaks and operational or financial risks; Monitoring & follow-up of discrepancies resolution; Synthetize the closing files with the result of all controls for management, LoD2, and other stakeholders; Contribute to a good collaboration with all stakeholders and to the animation of the relation by anticipating (pre-closing) any known issue(s); ensure fluid communication during closing period; formalize issues and present them in order to avoid future occurrences (post-closing); Alert and escalate to the management if/when needed
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the control set-up and ensure permanent fixes are delivered (mitigating the need for manual adjustments): Active contributor and/or projects lead related to the efficiency of processes and systems; Propose developments/improvements of the existing chain in order to secure the processes and reduce the operational risk
  • Formalization of team procedures and operating user guides: Contribute and/or approve on-boarding materials, procedures and operating user guides
  • Transversal assignments: Actively participate in management and department meetings; Adapt the communication to the main stakeholders and objectives of the meetings

Profile and Skills to Success

  • Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance and Accounting
  • Experience in Accounting and Finance (3-4 years)
  • Effective analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
