Employee Involvement

In response to the growing commitment by employees to actions providing assistance and mutual aid, the BNP Paribas Foundation created the Helping Hand project to support projects with which employees are involved. This programme was initiated in France and has now been rolled out under a variety names in a number of countries (Belgium, Spain, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Switzerland and Portugal).

Commitment to the local community

Solidarity is a year-round commitment for BNP Paribas Cardif Portugal. It supports a number of initiatives, either financially, or through the involvement of its employees, helping create stronger bond across the local community.

In 2011 and 2012, employees participated in the Christmas Dinner for Communidade Vida e Paz, distributing meals for the party.

Comunidade Vida e Paz is an institution that supports homeless people and promotes their reintegration in society. BNP Paribas Cardif has already helped this institution by donating computer equipment and by distributing food on the streets during the evening.

In addition, BNP Paribas Cardif also works with the Fundação António Luís de Oliveira to provide financially disadvantaged people with goods of basic necessity (appliances, clothing, beds). This foundation is a private social solidarity institution which hosts, provides assistance, education and training to brothers and sisters of broken families, between 3-18 years old.
